Wonderful!!

The Celestron 25 x 70 SkyMaster was my very first purchase for stargazing, and I am very happy with them. There are infinitely more stars when you look through these binoculars. I bought them to view the comet Hartley 2. I had a lot of help finding it, but view it I did! Hartley 2 was gorgeous, and I also got my first personal look into the vastness of space. I love my SkyMasters and the tripod adapter is very helpful. I plan on purchasing a much better tripod but they fit onto the one I got...

I plan on purchasing a much better tripod but they fit onto the one I got for my camera just fine. A tripod is more than helpful as these are heavy and my hands seem to be shaky. I took them camping with me out on Lake Texoma and was able to watch people on the other side! I spent my Sunday checking out all the sailboats, and viewing the wildlife. I am so very happy with my purchase and will be purchasing my first telescope through Adorama as well. I hope to eventually learn how to take pictures of deep space.

WELL MADE

By

from Alabama

These binoculars are well made, the barrels seem the be aluminum with s rubber coating, the frame is also metal. The collimation was good on the set I received and the lenses seem to be clear and made from glass no visiable marks or bad spots in the lenses. The focus bridge between the eye pieces is also made from aluminum and not plastic like on some. The only dislike I have with these is the eye cups are useless, if you flip them down they are useable but they are too large and dont fit my face right, my nose seems to be in the way. The focus is good with just a little play. For a 25 power set they are clear and I have no problem useing them hand held for terresterial viewing.

Great Binocular If You Are Using Tripod

By

from San Jacinto, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

These binoculars are great if you plan on using a tripod to look at very distant objects or celestrial viewing. The image was clear and sharp. They also did well in low light. They are not great for bird watching or hand holding. Due to the magnification 25x and the weight of the binoculars, any slight movement of the hand causes the image to jump around.
