About Celestron Omni 32mm

If you are looking to move up to a higher quality eyepiece the Omni series provides more enhanced features in a wider selection of focal lengths. Celestron designed this series with the finer points in mind so you, the user, can benefitfrom the features that make this series unique. The Omni is a 4 -element premium symmetrical Plossl optical design. Features include blackened lens edges to minimize internal reflection and maximize contrast, multi-layer coating group oneach lens surface to maximize light transmission and contrast, and each Omni goes through a two-step anodizing process to prevent reflection from the top eyepiece barrel, unlike most other manufactures who use reflective surfaces. Threaded barrels accept 1-1/4" Celestron thread-in filters.

Plossl Eyepeice with some flair!

By

from Reading, MA  -  Avid Adventurer

Great upgrade to the eyepieces provided with my telescope. Had to get a special adapter for my digital camera use but may well be worth it based on my naked eye usage so far. Bright and sharp to the eye.

Nice eyepieces for a binoviewer

By

from Southern California  -  Casual/ Recreational

Not much to say about these eyepieces. The construction is excellent, they are not heavy and they work fine on a TeleVue BinoVue. Saturn is crisp and so is the moon. I did not try any DSO due to light pollution from a street light. I would recommend these eyepieces to everyone. You won't notice any problems due to their 32mm size. Go to lower sizes and problems will show up. I know from experience and hence you will need better eyepieces if you go below 32mm with the Omni series.

Very clear to edge with f/4.7 newtonian

By

Image is clear to the edge, with my f/4.7 newtonian. I'm currently experimenting with it as a afocal imaging system with my modified webcam.
