About Celestron 90 Refractor

If you're looking for a dual-purpose telescope appropriate for both terrestrial and celestial viewing, then the AstroMaster Series is for you. Each AstroMaster model is capable of giving correct views of land and sky. The AstroMaster Series produce bright, clear images of the Moon and planets. It is easy to see the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn with every one of these fine instruments. For views of the brighter deep space objects like galaxies and nebulae, we recommend the larger aperture and light gathering ability of the Newtonian reflectors.

Perfect Choice to beginners

from Chihuahua, Chih. México  -  Avid Adventurer

I was in my first Astronomy class. And there were about 6 more telescopes. I thought others would be better then mine. They looked amazing and bigger. But when we used them, my telescope was the most interesting for the people. Images sharply and easy to use. I recommended it to a 15 people i think.

Questions about this item:

Donna C  Can I hook up my Nikon D7000 to this somehow to get pictures?
WILLIAM N  Yes. You need to buy the Celestron 1.25 inch universal T-adapter (Adorama part number CNTA1Q), and a Nikon T-mount (MDNTM). You might need to remove the right angle prism and put the t-adapter directly into the end of the telescope. However, this arrangement will be a bit awkward. The telescope is not really meant for astrophotography. You can take some moon photos, which are short exposure, but that's about it. It can be used like a terestial telephoto lens, but you might need to add some counter weight to offset the weight of the camera.
Donna C  Thanks William. I'm new to this. So what would one use this telescope for if not for astrophotography? And what would you recommend for astrophotography.
Shopper  does this scope handle motorized controls?
LAURIE C  not that i know of
