I returned this item after checking out the laser a few evenings. It just wasn't very bright. I have since purchase a similar laser that is much easier to see.

Excellent Value
I purchased the kit as I was in need of a red LED flashlight for reading star charts in the field without ruining my dark adapted vision. I also thought a laser pointer might help me point objects out to the rest of the family. As a bonus, the kit came with an "almost free" set of binoculars which I have no qualms about giving to my 4 year old son. He loves his new binoculars as much as I love my Nikons and we have a perfectly acceptable red flashlight and green pointer. Hard to beat for the price.

All that I expected.
I wanted the green laser pointer to mount on my Dobsonian telescope. It shows up much better than a red pointer.
