I would buy this product again

GoTo is not perfect but gets me close. Wish I could afford a bigger telescope but I think this is a good choice for the price.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  What's the best solar filter for this scope?
DEBORAH H  I use an astrozap baader solar filter 136mm-146mm with my 127SLT. I would not get a glass filter.
Shopper  can this telescope be used on a table top?
THOMAS R  The tripod is a little bit too tall for table top use. But far more important, a table top is nowhere near sturdy enough to use for this (or any) telescope. Due to the magnification involved, even the slightest vibration will cause the image to jump all over the place! You need to have the tripod placed firmly on solid ground for best viewing. Even if you have the tripod set up on a deck, the image will jump around just from someone gingerly walking across the deck! This applies to all telescopes, not just this one.
Shopper  other than stars and planets, is this telescope good for observing star clusters, nebulae and galaxies?
FREDERICK J  Doubtful. Get an 8 inch or larger.
