About Celestron

Wind, an unsteady tripod, or even an accidental bump can disturb your image quality. Keep your telescope still while observing with these sturdy pads. Simply place your tripod legs on top of the pads to absorb shock and stabilize your telescope.

Celestron's set of three Vibration Suppression Pads will reduce vibration time by almost 100% and also decrease vibration amplitude. They work on any surface: grass, dirt, concrete, asphalt, wood, etc., for both telescopes and spotting scopes.

Most Liked Positive Review

Works as advertised

While the pads may appear gimmicky there is a noticeable increase in stability when used. Even at 200x or higher power the field of view is steadier and fine focusing is easier to obtain.

VS

Most Liked Negative Review

Not for all floors

Don't work well of solid surfaces, such as hard wood floors which is why I wanted them. Slightest touch moves everything. Be better if they had soft rubber feet instead of plastic buttons.

Great foundation!

By

from WA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Works great with Telescopes, LONG Spotting Scopes and LONG TELE lenses. Only downside is you have to gather the 3 extra things when you scoot you tripod someplace else. Also helps stabilize a monpod on a boat, to dampen engine vibration. good to have one in your pocket even if you leave the tripod at home......

Worth it!

By

from Mount Helix, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

This really works to dampen the vibrations, the recovery time after focusing and from mirror movement on a DSLR is a huge benefit!

Celestron vibration supp. pad`s

By

from new paris,oh.  -  Photo Enthusiast

would have gave 5 star review but celestron need`s to put a weight limit on these pad`s, if to much weight is put on the pad`s they start to lose there ability to cancel out vibration`s and also the inner material begin`s to push out around the edge. but other than that this is a very good piece of equipment to add to your mount even for viewing, especially at high power.
