Great Product

This product was recommended to me by a professional photographer who swore by it. It is a sensor and lens cleaner and does a great job.

Bulky but it works

It is bulky, you need two hands and a tripod to use it but it works. But I at least am not looking to use it in the field so this is not a real problem. I've had one for 2 years. Before I got it I was blowing dust around the sensor. When I first used it the dust that I was blowing around was gone. I now use it before I go out shooting. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is bulky, and was tempted to give it 5 stars with a bulky comment!

worthless

Appears to be exactly as effective as a blower bulb ... don't waste your money

looks promising but jury's out

It seems that it mostly works, but it's unclear how much more it works than a regular air puffer. there were still Most annoying is that you have to hold down the button *and keep it held down* while using it. With one hand on the button, cradling the powered part, and one hand squeezing the blower, no hands are left for holding the camera.

About FireFly DSC1000

While there are many methods available to a photographer to clean the image sensor filter, only the FireFly provides a convenient, safe, and effective method to neutralize electrostatic charges on components of the mirror box, shutter chamber, and image sensor filter, clearing them of undesirable stuff without contact.

The FireFly utilizes a nine-volt battery, and safely multiplies the battery's voltage to a point where corona discharge will occur. The corona discharge field "ionizes" the air passing through the body of the FireFly. Only the FireFly producing and delivering both positive (+) and negative (-) air ions to the outlet air stream. This assures that static charges on the surfaces of the mirror box, shutter chamber, and image sensor filter are neutralized, allowing dust and other particulate matter to be blown off by the air stream delivered at the outlet nozzle.
