I love the fact that it is so compact and light. I can strap it to my bag, and unfold it quickly. The main pipe can be flipped so the camera is inverted hanging centimeters off of the ground. Great stability for night photography as well.

What is also noteworthy, is that the Magic 2 Tripod fits perfectly in a side pouch on a Cullman Expedition Backpack, or due to a flat packing it could be straped on with a velcro band to the most other photo bags. And, the middle shaft can be mounted "up side down", with the head mount pindting downwards, so that the camera can get very low near the ground, for close up macro or for book reproductions.

This is a very nicely made tripod.Made in germany of light weight alloy.I havn'tused it much yet ,but seems very stable.I \would recommend this product to anyone who wanted a light weight tripod for travel.

A bit expensive for a casual user, I enjoyed using it as both a tripod and monopod. I'm still learning how to effectively use a monopod for sports photography, but since this tripod is relatively lightweight and easy to use, I don't mind carrying it along. I actually use a small backpack for my camera, so I loop one of the legs through the strap for easy carrying.

Looks like a good tripod, even if it's not very stable. I wanted this one for his particular shape and because it was only 2.5 lbs, but it's a small error, in fact his weight is 3.2 lbs. The head works good for the price of it, but I'm not sure if the plastic clasp to take off the camera will last for long... They say that the minimum height is 13", but as show the picture, you can put you camera upside down on the other side to be even lower! I really love the fact that it's only 13 3/4" folded (very usefull while travelling) but I'll will look for another one because of the weight. (sorry for my english!)

I travel back and forth from Ohio to Alaska at least once a year to be with my son and his family. My Cullman tripod fits my carryon luguage, never causing a security problem. Its the first thing out of my bag to steady close-ups of Alaska's beautiful Forget-me-nots when I arrive and it the last thing back into the bag after taking a time-released family group picture before I leave for home...to make sure I do not forget my loved ones on the 49th State.

I like the light weight monfrotto better-easier set up- just as light but sturdier. Although the cullman folds up smaller in length.

I use this as a alternative in the field for wildlife since it is easy and light weight but sturdy enough for most shots.
