Bought this for use with an Olympus E510, it does not work. Only compatible with early generation Olympus cameras like the E1, C5050, etc.

Hi, be careful, this flash doesn't work with: Olympus E400, E500, E510. But this is really good flash and cheap. So I recommend it for other Olympus digital cameras. Regards Photographer form Ireland

I had great plans for this flash. Yes it does work, in the sense that the test button fires the flash. However, it DOES NOT WORK on the E-500. Kinda wasted my time. Totally useless to me because it doesn't even fall back to a manual flash. Cullman kindly post some list of what Olympus cameras it doesn't work on, instead of generally stating it's for Olympus Digital.... I expect it will work very well, for the undisclosed models it actually does work for.

The Cullmann 34 AF DIGITAL flash unit distinguishes itself through its particularly easy handling. It was developed for digital cameras and auto-focus SLR cameras. The silver metallic housing harmonizes with today's camera models. The easy to handle flash unit fits into every photo bag, due to its ability to be positioned vertically. It can be carried without an effort, thanks to its compact and lightweight construction.
The electronic flash unit 34 AF DIGITAL is equipped with TTL and E-TTL operation, automatic focusing in the dark with AF red focus assist beam and automatic shutter speed. The vertical tilted reflector, with five positions for indirect flashes, allows for effective composition of photos.
The zoom can be adjusted to 4 exposure angles, from wide angle to telephoto range, thus creating a greater performance and usage spectrum for flash photograpy. Depending on the camera type, the flash unit 34 AF DIGITAL supports the synchronization on the rear second curtain and the pre-flash for reducing the red-eye effect. The ready-mode is displayed in the viewfinder of the camera.
The Cullmann 34 AF DIGITAL is one of the first flash unit series in this band width and performance class for digital cameras of well-known brand names. With the guide number 34 at 85 mm focal length, this corresponds to a guide number of 30 at 50 mm for ISO 100/21°, a flash range is achieved which is also very suitable for ambitious amateur photography. The tilt reflector with zoom allows adjustments to be made for a precise aiming of light and effective photos.
