The specifications on this tripod could be great for travel. Collapsed it fits in the detachable daypack of my big pack. Open it has a pretty good size relative to its portability. It worked great long enough to pass my intial tests, get taken on a trip, and to even take a few pictures there. Then one of the flip lever locks fell apart. Fortunately I was not so far from a major city, and I bought a replacement SLIK Sprint Mini II from a camera store the next day. The Cullmann Nanomax 250 comes with a ten year guaranty. Since they do not provide an actual U.S.A. address to send it to, that guaranty is as useful when I got back home as it was on the trip where I wanted the tripod to not fall apart.

The Cullmann Nenomax 250 Tripod is a light travel tripod for smaller cameras and weighs just 2.2 pounds. It is appropriate for advanced point and shoot cameras or very small SLR systems (such as an entry-level SLR with a variable-aperture 'kit' zoom lens).
The Nenomax 250 reaches a maximum height of 55.1", so most users will need to squat down just a bit to comfortably view at eye level from the viewfinder. The 250's only 19.3" collapsed and light enough to take upon a very long journey without much bother.
