Good Bet on a Long Shot
I do primarily documentary and performance recording, and for the times when a small fixed lense camcorder is called for, a 2x tele adapter is a must have accessory. When I don't have the luxury of interchangable lenses, I want an adapter that maintains the best possible image quality... and in my book, that means Century adapter lenses. You can buy cheaper adapters, but you can't buy better.
The one short-coming of this adapter lense (and any 2x tele adapter lense) is it's limited zoom range. It works perfectly when your primary lense is zoomed all the way to tele. However, as you zoom back towards wide-angle, the adapter lense begins to vignette. Of course, why would you use a 2x tele adapter if you wanted a wide-angle shot?
