We bought this well over a year ago when tablets were still pretty new. For our family use, it is perfect. It is mainly used by my tweens and my wife for reading as we loaded the kindle app as well as the nook app. If i was buying today, I would buy again, but I would also look towards the Kindle Fire.

i bought the tablet mainly to watch video and for internet browsing..it has great video and audio quality and is very fast.....very well made....only downside is it does not come with the android market

The Coby is a great value E-Reader my wifes is used for a great variety of things it is great for internet, we have pictures on it so that we can take them everywhere there are apps such as realplayer that can be downloaded for great music listening.

I started out wanting an inexpensive e-reader and realized that there were nearly as inexpensive PC tablets. Other reviews of the Coby Kyros made me willing to give it a try - glad I did. I didn't want an iPad, a SmartPhone, or a junior laptop, but having an e-reader with wifi internet access made it an interesting hybrid device. It has worked wonderfully so far (about a month). Its built-in limitations often have simple work-arounds. The lack of Flash was easily cured with a trip to the Adobe site. YouTube videos play fine. The lack of access to the Android Market was easily cured with an update easily found and installed via Android/Coby forums, no rooting needed. A little initiative on my part has worked out most obstacles so far. The touch screen really works fine and the soft keyboard is remarkably accurate. I'm 6'5" and my big fingers have no problem. I regret buying a hard keyboard/case; I'm not using it. The display is awesome but audio really requires headphones/ear plugs. As an e-reader, it works as well as any dedicated e-reader, plus you have access to e-books via wifi. Using a 16GB microSD flash, it's been easy to move files around via the USB connection. The battery will not last as long as some e-readers & tablets. With wifi going, it lasts about 2-3 hours tops. Turning off wifi increases battery life substantially. It does re-charge very quickly, but battery is a bit of a limitation to be aware of. Great portability, wide flexibility, capable of doing many things (still exploring!), with access to many apps made this a great purchase. You can't beat the value. Now my college-aged daughter wants one.

Our family loves this tablet. Walking though a local electronics store I think it is very comparable to the Samsung Galaxy. At 7" it is great for the car, planes, and just sitting around the house. The Kindle App we downloaded is great. Games can be easily downloaded and the web browsing works well. It is fast. I did not want to spend $500 on a tablet I may or may not use. This was perfect and is 100% better then those cheap Chinese tablets you can find on [...]. It is perfect for the price. My mom has an IPAD and a NOOK and was very impressed with our Coby Tablet. It fits Kindle and Nook covers very well.

I bought the Coby Kyros MID7024 last March from Adorama [...] and I am very impressed and happy with the quality and advanced technology of this affordable tablet. It is fast, responsive, and offers the possibility of installing a lot of applications, including YouTube (Adobe Flash), Pandora, lots of games, calendar, agenda, alarm, weather, E-mail (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, MSN, Yahoo Messanger), Google Voice, Google Maps, and much more. It also has camera and microfone. There is no Android Market but most of the top android applications can be easily downloaded from other markets. Congratulations to Coby for making excellent technology affordable to all.
