I lost a couple of body caps, these do the job at a lower cost than the Nikon ones.

The cap is very important to cover camera body. but it also very easy to loose it. I bought couple caps as extra to use it just in case the one came with camera get lost.

The cap does what it's supposed to. It does fit a little more loose than the genuine Nikon ones I have but gets the job done. I am using the cover for static storage of old film bodies but if I were using it for protecting a spare body that I was carrying in a bag, then I probably opt for the proper Nikon cap for that particular body.

I use the body cover to protect my investment, I have a second Nikon body (F4s)and swap lenses fairly often depending on intended photos...the body caps fit and function are to a level that I would gladly recommend them to anyone reading this.

I was amazed by the quality of this cap. It has a nice texture on the front, it seems to be made of high quality plastic, or at least a high quality manufacturing process. It is made in Japan, it is cheap, works great and looks great.

OK, so I lost my Nikon brand cap, I found this one at a much lower cost. So the Nikon name is not on it, but all I really need is to keep dust out of my camera body. So I would advise, that unless the name is important to you, save a few bucks because this cap works just fine.... it keeps the dust out.
