Bad idea, stay away!
While the concept is pretty great, the execution has a major flaw: the screw mount will eventually unscrew itself and drop your camera to the ground. The manufacturer claims to offer a "100% satisfaction guarantee" but can't be bothered to reply to emails about their product when it fails. It's simply not worth the risk, and there are many other better designed bottom-mounting camera strap options out there.

Poor Design
The Idea is good. I kept my lens pointed downward out of harms way. But movement loosens the screw which you will inevitably loose.

It is made in two pieces. When removed to use a tripod the screw connector is separate from the strap connection. The small screw will most likely be misplace sometime in the future.

This product is garbage!
Initially I liked this product in theory for it's intended function and reasonable price. In practice it's a whole other story. It fails to remain screwed on, as you move around it begins to loosen up. Maybe this is good on a point and shoot or a small Canon Rebel and kit lens but definitely not supportive of the size and weight of a larger SLR and L Series glass. I was lucky that on the multiple occasions it has unscrewed itself I've either had my gear in hand or caught it just in time. It's easy to lose too. On one occasion the only reason I still had the screw was because it fell in my jacket's pocket. The savings aren't worth the risk to potential damage to your gear from a drop. You've been warned.

Great product!
Camera buddy was easy to attach to my D3100. Allows my camera to lie flat when wearing cross body. After looking at some other alternate strap connectors, I felt this one was the safest. It's also very flat on my camera unlike some others. Also, no additional hardware is needed.

Strap Buddy
At first I loved this product! I loved how it made my lens and camera point down instead of bobbing up and down against my stomach. HOWEVER, it DOES NOT stay screwed in! Once my camera fell off of my neck and to the ground. The other time, thank goodness, I had the camera in my hand as well as my neck when the strap came disconnected. I feel like there should be something that keeps this screwed in.. some kind of safety to stop it from unscrewing.

This product is a must have, I love it! I travel a lot with my camera and this product makes it so much more comfortable to carry my rig. The lens points down and keep from banging arround.
