Great concept, added one improvement

I have used this for over two years in all kinds of shoots from formal events to trail hiking to cave photography. I've had C-spine surgery and this WILL keep all your straps away from your neck. The only drawback is that as it is sold, you have to use the tripod socket to support the camera. I use a tripod a lot and have quick release plates on all of my cameras. Instead of using the tripod socket for suspension I had some short nylon straps (8-10" long) with metal "O" rings sewn on one end and used the plastic adjusters that comes with the usual camera neck straps to attach the short straps to the camera in the usual mannor. Clip the snaphook that comes with the Camera Slinger to the metal "O" rings and he cameras hang by the straps, not by the tripod sockets. The eye bolts that come with the Camera Slinger are in a drawer somewhere... No matter how you carry two cameras, be sure to check your mode settings as they can rub against your side and be changed. Changing from one camera to another is FAST and efficient. Canon 7D 70-200 f2.8L on one side and a 5DMII 24-70 f2.8L on the other, both with vertical grips, I can shoot for hours. I also use the Camera Slinger to carry only one camera by attaching each snaphook one to each short strap "O" ring on any of my cameras. No weight on my neck at all. In use, I attach my camera to the tripod/monopod with the quick release plate and when I know it is secure, I unclip the short "O" ring straps from the Camera Slinger snaphook. There is no cumbersome camera strap hanging from the camera. You can also easily unfasten both cameras and still wear the Camera Slinger. This is useful and handy if you are driving form location to location.

Fantastic product

I've used this on several weddings -- and wanted to be sure before I submitted a review -- but it is a great, great product. Normallly by the end of a day long shoot my lower back and the area right between my shoulder blades was tight, painful and necessitated a visit to the chiropractor. Now -- none of that. And I find myself working faster and smoother. Easy to switch from camera to camera. Love the product.Only two things prevented 5 stars -- first off the instructions on how to adjust the straps are pathetic and unusable. And I had to request a new part as soon as I used it the first time as a piece of plastic broke. But the company handled that immediately and replaced it. I can't blame anyone for a piece that looks solid and is not really as I never would have guessed a defect until it broke.[...]

Top Quality consruction... but

For people carrying twin camera setups- which is very popular these days this dual camera Freedom slinger can't be beat, fully adjustable and very well made. The only drawback is the camera attachments are not up to par compared to Black Rapid's. I think the main benifit to the Freedom strap is the fact there is no chest strap impeding the front of the wearer, which is a huge plus!! Almost not even noticable from the front. It will balance the two cameras very well and they feel secure. The strap is a winner -- do as I did, and purchase the camera attachments seperatly from Black Radid and you will have a winning combo!

Very natural. Luv it!!!

I've tried a couple other two camera slings, but neither one was as comfortable as this one.

Love it!

Can shoot for hours with a Canon 1DS Mark III with a 70-200 lens and a Canon 5D Mark with a 24-70 lens with no problem!

Comfy, comfy -- my new camera bra

The geek factor is out of the ballpark, perhaps, but this is one accessory that I really love. In the field, it's like having an assistant on either side of you. For stalking, it's the best ever.

Does What I Needed

I have an r-strap for use with a single camera body because I wanted to get the weight of my camera gear off my neck (even though I don't like the way the cross strap looks on a woman). When I needed a dual camera strap right away for a trip, CameraSlingers seemed to be the best one available at the time. It's lightweight (but with strong strapping) and comfortable to wear. It is just simpler to use because there are a minimum of straps and gadgets to get tangled up with other gear or with clothing. The pictures and sketches that come with the CameraSlinger could be more detailed (like which way is suggested for the front, how exactly to secure the piece that screws into the tripod). It is important to screw the loop firmly into the tripod socket on the camera, tripod plate, or lens foot and then tighten down the padded washer on the loop. That way you don't have to worry about it coming loose. With thousands of $$ hanging on each strap, getting the loop attached correctly is critical and the instructions don't illustrate that at all. All in all, I'm pleased and will be using it a lot.

Wish I had this six months ago.

Great all-day comfort, easy to alternate access from one camera body to a second, well-balanced weight and useful adjusting slide to raise up one camera while knelling down to shoot with the second camera. One unanticipated advantage is you can eliminate use of a camera bag, particularly for events that offer an express security line for those without a knapsack/camera bag/purse/etc.

Only good if you don't shoot fast

My slinger is collecting dust in the closet. I got this for shooting weddings after seeing all the hypes from other wedding pros. Great concept but I actually find this gadget slows me down if I have to change lenses during a shoot. If you don't need speed, then it's ok.

Love It!

I love my CameraSlinger system It's great for shooting outdoor portraits and weddings. It's comfortable, and easy to use. I would and have recommended these to many people. If you often shoot with 2 camera bodies because you want the flexibility of focal range, do yourself a favor and get one of these!
