Does NOT work with D100!

This may work with a D100 that is outfitted with a motor drive, but I don't own one.

Favorably impressed

I am disappointed that Nikon does not integrate remote shutter release like Canon does. This causes Nikon users to have to find a suitable product. Nikon's wireless remote is insanely expensive so I tried this as a reasonable alternative. I have been very pleased with this remote. It operates at quite a distance and so far, I have not experienced any interference problems. I do like that I can shoot immediately or have a slight delay in triggering the shutter using the remote. The only quality issue so far is that the power button is very small and tends to stick in the down position. I had to remove the battery once to shut off the receiver and then tap the unit to get the button to pop back up. Otherwise it would be a five star rating.

Worth every penny, plus.

I bought the radio remote as an alternative to the much more expensive nikon offerings, or tethered cable release. Given some of the comments regarding it's reliability, I didn't expect much, but for the price, I could toss it, and mot worry too much about loosing the [$] I paid for it. It is my belief that the only reason some are not happy with this product is that perhaps, they are not making sure it is securely attached to the camera. It can be a bit tricky to make sure the barrel connecter is tightened all the way down. Once it is, your golden. To my surprise, the transmitter has also survived a quick dip in a shallow puddle. I could not be happier with this unit. I have attached a piece of velcro to the bottom of my camera body to hold the receiver steady when switching from portrait to landscape positions. For an inexpensive remote, this one cannot be beat.

works for a little while

I used one for a week of all day, every day shooting with a D300. It worked very well. Next time I tried to use it it would not work at all. I changed the batteries and the channel and still no joy. Don't buy this. It is a piece of cheap [*]junk.

This is Junk

I use this with my Nikon D300 and, though it will release the shutter - it shuts off the monitor on the rear of the camera when in use. It cannot be used with instant playback, or just playback and it cannot be used with Live view. Flimsy build. I had similar from Dot Net, it is just a different presentation of the same electronics. That one stopped working after a month.

Very good product at a resonable price

I use it with my new Nikon D300 to trigger my camera on tripod to shoot birds and other wildlife remotely

Works well but build quality poor

You should be aware that I have to use tape to hold the battery compartment(s) closed to prevent the batteries from falling out. Operating range is proably greater than stated.

Don't Buy This Product

Worked for three shoots involving 100 images each. Now it has a mind of it's own. Tried new batteries, frequencies, etc. I had low expectations, but this has fallen below that.

Still Testing

range is not what is advertised, closer to 50 ft. Still playing with it at different freq's. Also changed the batteries to see if it will increase range

Had to be returned.

The device was not functional. Worked at home a couple of times and never worked on the field. A big disappointment.

Jury still out on this one

Worked fine for the first 30-40 shots at one session. Two weeks later the product had a mind of its own, sporadic operation. I had to remove the product and shoot manually.

Works, but range limited

Works well as a remote trigger, but range with clear line of sight is only about 30 feet.
