About Lomography 35mm

The Lomography Fisheye Compact 35mm Film Camera (White) sees a sweeping 170-degree view - capturing everything around you into a compact circular image. It works great as a unique alternative for nearly any type of photography, including landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, pets and more.

The fisheye lens allows you to get right up to your subject's nose while still capturing all of the scenery and environment around them - with unique distortion effects. The huge depth of field renders both the foreground and background in complete focus no matter where the subject is and its premium glass lens offers bright colors and excellent contrast.

It comes with a built-in electronic flash for use day or night and uses one AA battery (not included). The normal 35mm film used in the camera can be processed anywhere, so no special trips just to be able to use this camera and its film.

Lomography 35mm Features

  • With its enormous field of view, the Fisheye One takes in nearly half of the world around you at once. Then, it compacts that into a nice and tight circular image for you to develop later
  • The Fisheye One rewards those photographers who bravely get up-close to their subjects. You'll watch as their nose gets pressed up to your lens, while their ears and forehead slide backward
  • Super wide-angle images like those from the Fisheye One come with an added bonus in that they maintain sharpness from the foreground to the background. Each fisheye image shows a very deep depth of field, so that your subjects and background will be nice and sharp no matter where you catch them
  • Inside the large lens opening live several optical-glass lens elements that work together to give you bright colors and punchy contrast
  • Whenever you need it, this bright light is ready to fire a solid burst of white, allowing you to use your Fisheye for longer than just the daylight hours
  • Swimming off the right side of your camera is a beautifully detailed Koi fish. One part children's illustration and one part yakuza tattoo - it's a real looker on the Fisheye
  • Forget the viewfinder, it doesn't do your lens justice. With the Fisheye's massive field of view, it sees much more than any simple viewfinder could - including your own eyes. The Fisheye truly invites you to "shoot from the hip" here and capture everything from the Earth below to the heavens above

It seemed like a cool novelty gift from my wife. However after only three rolls of film, it stopped advancing. [...]

Fun camera,[...]

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my younger brother, who I am helping develop an interest in photography. I already own several Lomography cameras myself, and I thought the Action Sampler would be the perfect camera to get a preteen boy interested in film-based photography. I was right; he loves it and takes it everywhere, asking people to jump around or dance for him so he can take interesting shots, catching things in motion, etc. The camera is very easy to use for a photography novice and can produce great results with little effort. I was able to find it at Adorama for a price that was significantly cheaper than anywhere else, which was also a plus.

good... when it is working

By

from Tampa, Florida  -  Professional

I bought this camera for creative shots as an additional to my other cameras and to have a different view away from the digital pro that I'm use to. I wanted something more artistic to separate the pro commercial photography I do from the artistic. The camera is beautiful, a nice design and it really funny... when it is working. I had to return this model twice. The first I bought worked for 2 shots, then it stopped taking multiple pictures and the flash wasn't working. So I returned the camera [...] I was able to shot the first roll completely, what a fun! but when I loaded the 2nd roll, I took about 3 shots and it stopped working, just as the first one (you hear only 1 click (it takes only one of the frames) and the flash never works). It made me feel really bad because I was really looking forward to use this camera a lot, but as you see, I wasn't able to. Now I don't know if I should buy a 3rd one, or spend my refund in a completely different camera. I'm really not convinced about this model.

Do you want to be amazed?

I love this as it is so much fun, and the images unpredictable and experimental. Easy to use and makes me a very happy camper!
