Not exactly what I was looking for

I was looking for something to help carry an extra body. Using this holder for a pro size body (Nikon D3S) doesn't work very well.

Nice camera holder

Nice helper for weddings, no pressure on the shoulder carring the heavy 70-200 2.8 lens, just leave it on my belt ...

Solid attachment to body

This is easy to use and fits snug to the body. Use of straps to hold a camera causes the camera to swing. When outdoors climbing around brush, rocks I do not concern myself with my camera swinging hitting objects. When I am crawling under limbs or brush to get in to position it does not hit the ground. It stays on my hip, or I put it in front of me or behind me. It is not as quick to grab a shot as using a Black Rapid strap, however it is not swinging banging in to items.

LOVE THIS THING!

Straps suck. End of story. The b-grip allows you to carry your camera on your belt. However I suggest it being a second belt. Not the one for your pants. It is very secure. It is very awkward at first. But in about 10 minutes you can figure out how it works best for you. Get a second belt to use this with. This will allow you to move it around your waist as you need. At times like in a crowd it is good to have it directly in front, when walking it is best at the side. And when making adjustments to lights etc..etc... it is good to have it in the back out of the way. You cant move it like that with it stuck between 2 belt loops. And when buying a belt for it. Try to get one that fills the belt slots. One that is narrower will let it twist a bit. It is not a bad thing. but takes a extra second to locate the release lever. It is strong. I carry a gripped 50D with a 24-70 2.8, and at times a 70-200 2.8 with no fear of it falling out. Your first try I will bet you will not be able to take the camera off the clip. It is a 2-in-1 move process. Once you know how to do it it is second nature. But the 2-move keeps it from falling out by accident. I have never had it even hint at falling out. So much so I took off the safty cord/clip. The down sides.... It is a 2 handed operation to take it off AND put it on. One hand for the camera, one hand for the clip lever. There is no way to do either with only one hand. So any quick grab shots when you happen to have stuff in one hand will never happen. And... the mount for the camera does like to come loose. I keep a set of mini pliers in my bag to install and remove the mount. It does not need so be super tight. But it does need to be about 1/4 turn tighter than I can do by hand to not worry about it coming off. I love this thing! I just wish they sold extra mounts to keep on other bodies so I don't have to move the one all the time.

Well worth the price

While out in the brush crawling around the camera is not swinging around me. This keeps hands free to get into position, such as climbing, jumping running and the like. It is then easy to pop the camera off the holder making the shot. Because the camera is not swinging around the body one can squat down, without the camera hitting the ground.

Great great product

This product is great! I've used it for 9 full days of shooting and it worked very well. The camera is stable and doesn't swing around as it would with a strap. The B-Grip also provides a stable support if I take the whole rig off and set it down. I was able to shoot, move large equipment and then shoot again just by swinging the grip/camera around out of the way. My only qualms are that I wish it has build a little heavier duty for the price and I haven't figured out a good safety hand strap yet. It's very useful and the first one that I've seen of it's kind. It does look a little dorky... but hey we're photographers what do you expect.

What an AWESOME idea!

This is the best idea ever! I hate camera straps so the B-Grip was just the ticket for me! Easy access to my camera at a moments notice! VERY functional and built well! I can finally "wear" my DSLR!

Great Camera Mount

This is a great product for accessing your camera quickly. I used this everyday for two weeks in Europe and it was indespensible for sightseeing. Also was an attention getter - good at times but if not, no problem, just wear a big shirt and it hides the camera sufficiently. Also can swing the camera around your waist to any point if necessary if you are wearing an external belt. A few nits about it. First it takes a little while to remember that you have this new extension on your hip - watch the door jambs and chairs. Second, it is shipped with the rain cover and safety catch - no belt - and I don't see it for sale. Not very obvious in the listing. You can use any sturdy belt but the bGrip slides on so if you want to add it to a lumbar pack assembly as I did, you must remove pack clips to mount it then, of course, reverse the process to free it. Annoying. Third, my zoom would not stay retracted and remained fully extended when walking. Finally, the manufacturer's video has a scene where the base plate is mounted directly to a tripod. I am not sure if this is a generic tripod mount or what but it's another annoyance to undo the bGrip plate and attach the tripod quick release plate. I am trying to find a tripod mount that will fit this base plate. Despite these small issues, I defintely recommend this and will probably buy another and leave one on the lumbar pack belt.

worked great

I used the B-Grip on a 18 day Europe river cruise tour. My camera was right at my side and didn't swing around when walking. Worked great. The only minor hassle was the plate would loosen requiring periodic tightening.

Extra pair of hands.

Think of it as an extra pair of hands. Always know where you can find your camera.

Great Product

I'm a full time wedding photographer. I was looking for a belt holster type mount for my second camera since my shoulders are starting to hurt from the Canon L lenses after a couple of hours of shooting. This is exactly what I needed. Works perfect, quick release and not bouncing.

Just what the Doctor ordered!

While shooting my son's mountain bike races, I imagined a belt mount or something like it and VOILA! I saw the B-Grip on ADORAMA and it fit the bill totally. I used it a couple of weeks ago and boy was it great! I have to ride a bike from location to location so a standard neck strap just won't work. This kept my Nikon D90 secure and close at hand.

B-grip is unstable

It does not support a large lens that does not have a lock.

great idea!

Once in a while, you buy little inexpensive accessories that change your (photo) life in better. This grip is incredible light, very well made and it distribute the camera weight evenly. If you need a fast access to your camera or to a second body and you want to give some relief to your neck this is a smart solution.
