Handy Clip (Not a Holster)

from Eastern Massachusetts  -  Casual user

The clip enables you to keep the camera, lens down, in front without swinging around. Helps avoid bumping into things, and awkwardly swinging camera from over-shoulder carrry to shooting position. Refinements needed: (1) A belt clip; right now you have to thread the belt through the camera-hold clip when putting on. (2) Quick-release lock on camera clip; right now, if you bend over or squat down, the camera comes off the clip, defeating the purpose. Summary: Good start, great idea; needs refinement.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
ROBERT F  The weight of the camera on my neck caused a great deal of pain due to arthritis and this took the weight off.
Shopper  How well did it work? Were you happy with it?
REUBEN R  I have used it twice only so far, but each time it worked well. I wore it on my hip and not as demonstrated on the front - it was too heavy feeling in that position for me. I will continue to use it and continue to play with how to wear it. So far so good.
Danny L  Anyone has a picture and specification for this device? so i can understand how it works, will that be too heavy to use as gear for walk around shots? Danny
LAUREN M  This device is basically a belt. You will need to use your camera neck strap too. There is a bit that screws into the bottom of your camera, then sits in the belt strap. The belt strap has velcro so you can adjust it to your waist. Because it slides into the belt strap part, you can pull your camera out quickly, but while it is in the strap, the combination of the belt strap and neck strap keep the camera from swinging around. I bought this so I can take my DSLR when I'm hiking. It is not meant for a pocket sized camera.
