Great cutter, but it would be nice if the bed was a few inches wider so 8.5 x 11 sheets could be measured & trimmed easily when in landscape mode. The plastic cutting guide to show you where the cut will happen has 2 problems: 1) The line is blocked by the bar that the cutter rides on, so you have to look at the guide at an angle which makes it more difficult to see, and 2) the cutting guide is loosely mounted via a pin and a slot which gives it some play and throws off the precision of the indicated cut line. The cutting function itself is great though. It glides through everything, including heavy card stock and Chartpak adhesive label stock.

I'd been eyeing this trimmer for some time but shied away from its bulky appearance in the pictures. But tired wrists from repeat passes with the Fiskars trimmers to get through photo paper and still end up with rough edges finally had me frustrated enough to look for a better trimmer once again. Other reviewers had stated that it cuts smoothly and without having to press down, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Sturdy built, this trimmer's platform doesn't "give" like the plastic Fiskars tend to do, and ohmygosh, FINALLY! a smooth photo cut with just ONE pass and no pressure! Love the automatic clamping as soon as the cutting cartridge engages, it helps keeping the paper from shifting. No blade wobble whatsoever, wonderful for precise and straight cuts. Does NOT have metric markings, but I can live with that. I have not cut stacks of paper all at once with this trimmer, I use a secure clamp-down trimmer for that. I wanted this machine for photo paper and thicker cardstock, and it delivers beautifully. As for ease of use, I recently broke my shoulder and am pretty much one-armed right now but can still use this trimmer without any problems. Highly recommended.

I use this product to trim photos that I have taken and printed out. It does a great job.

I print multiple photos on a sheet of paper and can now trim all those photos into individual photos with this trimmer. It is great.
