DeluxGear LC Lens Cradle
Typically, the weight of DSLR cameras and their large lenses are supported solely by the strap on the camera body. The lenses dangle awkwardly, requiring the use of your hands to protect your investment. The Lens Cradle removes this awkwardness. Utilizing the center point of gravity of the lens tripod collar, the Lens Cradle supports the camera and lens in a secure horizontal position. With a camera strap, it provides balance and stability to your camera and lens. The Lens Cradle also can be used to carry extra lenses.
The Lens Cradle offers a variety of mounting options. The most stable and hands-free position is with the arc up, in a cradle fashion. Invert the arc and the cradle becomes an instant bipod, converting what was previously an obstacle into a photographing platform. Effortlessly rotate the Lens Cradle and tripod ring 90 degrees for swift and sustained portrait shooting. A camera strap alone cannot provide this balance, stability, and usefulness.
DeluxGear CS-ND Neo Duet Camera Strap
A 4-point strap that supports both your camera and a lens. Designed expressly fo r the Lens Cradle, it has three primary components: a comfortable shoulder strap , a camera body strap, and a Lens Cradle strap to support the lens. Without the Lens Cr adle, the Neo Duet Strap can be connected to lenses with strap mounts, so with o ne strap you can carry both the camera and an extra lens, for maximum protection and ease-of-use. Used either way, the gentle curve of the shoulder strap provid es prolonged comfort for the shoulders and back. Really makes carrying a heavier lens easier.
I use the DeluxGear system whenever I am shooting with my 70-200mm Canon lens. This system really saved the day last year when I was shooting an air show. It really takes the strain off of just your neck and keeps the camera ready to shoot. I find that the cradle itself helps me stabilize the camera better too. I also discovered that the ability to rest the cradle against my hip while walking makes for a much more comfortable situation and results in less fatigue over time at long duration events. If you carry more than one camera - you definitely need this! I have enjoyed having this addition to my bag. Make sure that you also consider the LensGuards to absolutely keep your expensive lens protected!
