it works very well as a lens cap for my Canon 15 mm fisheye. I recommend it for short lens where a regular lens cap is not available

This is the best solution to the banging of your lens until the filter cracks, or alas it gets the screw ring and lens edge so deformed you can never change it again. This is the cure to deformed lens edges and unnecessary repairs due to the continuous banging of the lens edge to everything you encounter along the way....

I normally use a B+W screw-on clear glass protector (dSLRs don't need UV filters) and a lens cap to protect the lens front-end glass element. But even in docile situations... protecting the lens glass is one thing... a hard clunk against a telephone pole is another thing. Lens repairs are pricey! Out in the countryside... scrambling over rocks to shoot kayak races... or boulder hopping to get that fabulous waterfall shot... or when the wisdom of fleeing supersedes the notion of wrestling with the bear that's coming down the trial... I don't move without a DeLuxgear lens Guard on whatever lens is mounted on the camera. The superb lens protector has saved the day many times. For my money... a Lens Guard is unbeatable lens insurance and I don't ever leave home without one. Happy shooting!

the Canon factory 15mm fisheye lens cap has a bad habit of falling off and the the deluxe cap is a great solution

I bought this lens guard because the cap that is made for use on the lens adaptor for my filter kit is difficult to put on and pops off much too easily. This one is big enough to fit over the adaptor, stays on until I deliberately remove it and has the added benefit of protecting the lens much better than a cap can do.

Haven't had it that long, but seems durable and fits my lens nicely. My only complaint is that it is bulky to keep on the camera while it's in a toploader case, but if it wasn't then it wouldn't do it's job would it?

The DeluxGear Lens Guard is an excellent product for any level of photography, amateur or professional. I spend most of my time taking nature pictures outdoors, so I am often concerned about the beating my lens takes during the excursions. The Lens Guard fits snuggly over the lens, yet is easy to remove in a flash for quick photos. My biggest concern is having the glass scratched on a scramble up a rocky slope, but with the Lens Guard, I did not have to worry about scratching or damaging the lens as the rubber outside and inner padding provided plenty of protection. A great buy and better than the plastic cap that seems to get lost so easily.

I do a lot of backpacking and photography is a major part of the trips. I can't count the number of lens caps I have lost on the trails. The Lens Guard stays put, protecting the lens and when I pull it off it stays attached to the camera. I am going to purchase a couple more for the lenses in the pack.

I feel that the lens is totally secure when I am scrambling about looking for the best vantage points for my landscape photography - I do lots of that!

Your camera is around your neck or slung over your shoulder, and when you get something out of your trunk or lean through your car window, your camera develops a mind of its own. It swings forward and bangs whatever is in front of it. As a photographer, you know that if there is something to bump into, your camera will find it. Finally there is a solution. It's called the Lens Guard. The Lens Guard is like the bumper of a car. It provides impact protection while preventing mishaps.
