Good product for the price you pay

I would recommend this product because it the cheapest alternative out there for CD/DVD repair. Fixes most scratches (not the very deep ones) which is good enough to have the media play correctly.

Good cleaning and repair tool

I bought this item on-line. Was hoping it would be comparable to the Skip DR Deluxe i had purchased some time back. That one was much bigger than this one, but item operation is basically the same. The Deluxe worked fine but the cleaning/repair wheel did not last very long. Wheel stuck and broke internal phenolic gears. If one has quite a few cd's and dvd's, i'm not sure it will last very long. Am using the same AC adapter i used on the Deluxe. Works fine! Have used batterys for powering the unit only for a short time when i first got the Deluxe version. Haven't used batterys at all on this unit. Bottom line, i would recommend this item for casual use...but not constantly.
