They keep the developer and fixer in good condition so far and they have not leaked.

Well, they're opaque chemical bottles. Not just any opaque - they have a nice chocolate color. They are not for chocolate. The caps seal well, although I've not tested at 40,000 feet altitude or at 200 meter water depth. They're round - always a plus. It's a pleasing shape. All in all, possible the finest opaque, chocolate (or is it brown gravy) colored bottles you can buy - and you can only get them at Adorama (that's a lie - I have no idea).

Solid. Will do the job. However, if it is backordered it may take quite a bit of time to get to you. Be warned.

These bottles are extra dark compared to earlier models. Perfect for mixing small quantities of chemicals

I have used Delta1 containers for decades. This one is black, not brown, which prefer anyway. It's too bad the space-saving rectangular "box" style jug is not longer available. This one has none of the apparent thinning on the bottom as there was occasionally with the old brown ones; it you looked at a light bulb through the top opening, it was evident. These good ones last "forever" and keep their appearance when properly maintained, which means carefully wiping/ rinsing an chemical spills -- especially fixer -- from the outside, including the top threads, something which takes only a few seconds. I would recommend this to any darkroom user.

Quite pricey but gets the job done. I was using glass 1 liter bottles to store my chemicals before this.

Solid but lightweight. Good seal, which is important for dev chemicals esp. the fixer, which is quite smelly. Also, makes it easier to store dev chemicals without worrying about slow leaks causing health troubles.

Great chemical storage bottles. I ordered three. One of them arrived dented and badly damaged, but I contacted customer service, and they promptly refunded the cost of that one bottle.

Storage container works well, great size. Just need to be conscious to get the size that works with your chemicals. I bought chemicals that would make a gallon of solution and I’d bought 1/2 gallon jugs, so just double check :)

Keeps your chemistry from running out all over the floor. Cap seals tightly to keep out air and the bottle is opaque to keep out the light.

I have been through life with a lot of different jugs and when these jugs caught my eye something snapped. I developed an instant love affair with these jugs which are truly apart and like no other. I LOVE MY NEW JUGS! Their smooth brown polyurethane bodies tapering down to pliable yet firm cap threads and a stylish grip which falls naturally to hand. I won't even mention their bottoms because this is a G-Rated website. These Chinese jug makers really know their stuff! FOLLOWUP: After six months of use I HATE THESE JUGS!! They make popping noises in the middle of the night and sometimes squeal if you don't screw the dirty white caps down. The once so alluring white lettering on the outside has began to run under my frequent yet loving handling. They have become a putrid sight and I can't take these jugs out in public anymore and have to stay at home with them covered in a dark room. Don't buy these lying, cheating jugs, you'll be sorry for the day you met them.

I shoot both digital and film cameras. There are only a few shops in the area I live that still develop film and they do it poorly so I decided to do it myself. I purchased the hardware and chemicals to do this from Adorama. The Chem Seal 1/2 Gallon Plastic Photographic Chemical Storage bottles are a must have. These bottles are made from tough high-density dark brown plastic so they keep light from affecting the chemicals and the heavy construction makes them less sensitive to temperature fluctuation. They also have a white background panel on the side where you can write the mix date and any other info.

I use these to store different developers and fixer and they work great. I've not had any issues with these bottles. It's hard to be more elaborate with the review because it's just a bottle. But I've had no issues with reuse, buildups, or cleaning.

It's just a dark container, which is perfect for storing your developer (which is photosensitive). At that, it is great!

It is what it says on the outside :-) Only thing I would personally have preferred is that it was a liter, which is just a tad more than 32 oz (33.8 oz in fact).

I needed a large container to store my powder-based chemicals for photography and this fit the bill. It's easy to pour out fluids and the translucent stripe along the side gives me a good indication whether or not if I'm running low on a certain chemical.

These bottles are good. The tops screw on well. I just wish I had bought 1 gallon sizes b/c most of the chemicals are set up to be diluted in 1 gallon.

Good inexpensive light blocking storage
By ANDREW M.
For less money then it takes to find and clean out old opaque containers you can buy these. These containers seal well and block any light to help the shelf life of your chemicals. Standard sizing and the ability to mark them clearly helps to keep your darkroom organized.

These bottles are made of high quality tough plastic. They are colored brown to keep light from damaging the chemicals, but have a panel allowing you to write on the bottles.
