If you're looking at metal tanks then you probably know if you like them or not already, but I do and I like this one fine. Kinda looks like a drink mixer and possibly doubles as one if you are okay with dying.

I turn these tanks into something altogether different from a Developing tank it's called a DHS Vessel and is used for checking contamination down to parts per billion. Your tanks are perfect for my application.

Overall this is a great tank. It does leak a little when developing with C41, because those chemicals have to be at 102 degrees and some chemicals will inevitably leak through due to the heat. Every tank, even the plastic ones, have this same exact issue. The only downside to using metal is that there’s no stick to where you could develop without having to do inversion. Still, I really like this tank and the construction can’t be beat. It’s obviously well made and I have no doubt it’ll last for a very long time.

Nice tank. Be sure your reel is the right size for the tank though! I ordered a reel at the same time as this order for the tank and they are incompatible. It's totally my fault as the dimensions are listed. Just wanted to warn others to be careful to order the right size tank or reel so that they match.

Adorama has no comparable competitor out there when it comes to price (most of the time) and service (almost always) As a newbie, I sometimes need help figuring out which equipment is best for my needs. They are always there to help and facilitate returns when needed. Adorama rocks!

It's made in China but it's good enough for what it needs to do. It doesn't leak or anything. For the price, I'd recommend it.

I thought I would try to develop 120 film. I have used the smaller version for 35mm. Now there is a bonus - I can develop 2 rolls of 35mm. Great tanks.

This development tank is solid and compact. I'm currently a darkroom student and use a changing bag. I prefer the metal system to the plastic system because of the size differential. When pouring the chemistry in, it flows very quickly without any spillage. Overall this is a quality product. I doubt you can get much better than this.

Comment number one must be a joke. The lid doesn't screw off, it pulls off ... quite easily. Nice product. Worth the price.

This is a no-nonsense tank that won't leak, cleans up great, and saves you money compared to other tank systems. It is very durable - I don't worry about breaking or cracking it when I tap it down or agitate. Plus it's not complicated because it has only three parts to it: tank, light trap lid and snap cap. Nothing else to assemble in the darkness of the film loading room.
