Better than expected
I was pretty surprised with how well these tongs work. They looked a little flimsy when I took them out of the package, but they've been holding up nicely.
Unlike most tongs, these are spring loaded, so you squeeze them to open them, and the spring closes them and holds your paper. This made me a little nervous as I thought it might put dings in my paper. They did not damage my paper at all though.
If you're used to squeezing the tongs to hold your paper, these will be very confusing and frustrating to use at first. Once you spend a couple of weeks with them though, you won't want to go back. Normally it's easy to get a cramp in your hand from holding up paper in long sessions, but not so with these.
As for holding power, surprisingly they will hold a fully soaked, fiber 11x14 with no problem.
