Wonderful compact bag for a mirrorless system. No wasted space. Large enough for a body with lens mounted and two additional lenses plus small accessories. Sits close to the body so it balances well and won’t bang into everything you pass by. Well made like all Domke bags and this model looks like a small commuter lap top bag that doesn’t scream camera gear.

The Domke 802 bag may just be as close a perfect bag as you can get. It holds quite a bit, but is slim enough to sling over your shoulder and not look like a camera bag. I use it for all day shooting. I can fit a camera, film, mobile phone & an extra battery, notebook, map or guidebook, sunglasses & a candy bar.

Took this bag to Europe in July, loaded with: large laptop computer, Canon 40D with 2 big zooms and a prime, Panasonic G1 with 2 lenses, Canon S90, chargers for everything, filters, cleaning supplies, reading material and miscellaneous junk. Problem: I'm 6'2", 250 lbs, and the bag, with all this stuff, was too heavy to lug comfortably around airports. On the way home, I lightened up by leaving out the chargers and other heavy, non-fragile items. Fits fine in aircraft overheads, lots of useful dividers and pockets. Maybe a little pricey for what it is, but it will last a long time.

Very nice compact bag for travel. I was able to fit D300, 80-200/f4, 17-55mm, and 3 small primes, along with SB-600 and some loose accessories. It was heavy, but everything fit snugly and was transported across half world safely. I used those nice Domke lens wraps for the prime lenses. The bag does not fade and more importantly does not look like a camera bag, which can sometimes be useful.

I've been using Domke products since 1981. I have always been happy with quality of construction and the way they age. This bag is no exception. For carrying a small-medium size kit it can't be beat. Just enough room for body, three lenses, two flashes and Compact Flash cards. There are two key differences between this bag and the Domke F803, the canvas version of this satchel. 1) It is made of black ballistic nylon, so it's more durable and 2) it's just the littlest bit bigger. Which means it will carry the same amount of gear a little more comfortably (getting my stuff into the F-803 was pretty tight). This is not a carry everything bag. There is probably not enough room to carry cameras AND computers (but it serves as an excellent computer bag/brief case if you don't carry cameras with it). But for use as a day bag, carrying just what you need, it's hard to beat.

Nicely made (as all Domke products), slim, and stylish ... but the bag is too small to fit a small (13" inch) MacBook latop, and I suspect most laptop users of all but the most compact notebooks will have the same problem. The "sleeve" for the laptop is actually a pocket at the front of the bag, which means that a laptop carried in this case would have next to no protection. As a low profile bag for a camera and a couple of lenses only this isn't a bad choice. Just don't expect it to fit a laptop and camera equipment as advertised.

The new 811 and 812 are large enough to carry everything a professional photographer needs with enough room for a laptop, and the smaller 810 with spacefor plenty of camera equipment, all big enough to carry a Pro SLR body with 70-200mm lens attached.
