Questions & Answers

Fiorella H : Is this compatible with Sony RX100 II?Jose M : It works with my Sony HDR9 and my Panasonic GH3. Great tripod but the head its just OK.
Pouya O : Is the center column of the AX680P104 model (68-Inch) reversible for macro photography?STEVE L : Yes it is, unscrew the hook cap on the end of the center column, slide it out and reverse it.GERTRUDE B : I haven't used it for macro and but I gave the tripod a thorough looking. The center tube does not come out of the tripod collar to allow the tube to be reversed as it does on my old Bogen tripod. However, the top of the tube appears to be the same as the bottom externally. it looks like the head comes off the tube and would fit onto the bottom of the tube for use with macro. (The head did not come easily off the tube for me with finger pressure and I am don't want to take pliers and wrench to it.) The bottom is internally threaded (female) so if the top is also threaded that way, it would be reversible.
Meg H : include quick release?JAMES L : Yes, this tripod has a plate which you can easily take on and off while attached to a camera. If you had more than one plate you could change out cameras quickly. However I ditched the head on this tripod for a head which has a more fluid pan. Greatly improved than the standard head for video work. If I was just using this tripod for still photographs I would have kept the stock head.JONATHAN F : The tripod has a quick release, yes.JOENNE H : yes, one.JOENNE H : noEDWARD R : Yes the quick release is included. The tripod is not a very compact, pretty bulky if that matters. The screw plate to the pan head is kind of cheap but durable.VIKTOR DAMATOV G : YesWILLIAM T : Yes, it comes with one quick release. You can order additional ones from Dolica if you want one on a heavy lens and one on a camera body.DARLINGTON D : Yes...but it's not very quick in my opinion because it doesn't slide off easily.STUART Z : Yes. You attach the quick release plate to the bottom of the camera.

Reasonable price with excellent quality

Easy to bring, and comes with the bag. Light weight makes easy to carry with. The only one concern with this one is a little bit not stable with full length of the legs.

Tall, well built, great value tripod

I really love this tripod, for the price you can't beat it! I'm 6' tall and it is perfect for my height, also it is very well built and looks great. I trust my equipment to this tripod, and it does everything I need. It also comes with a very nice carrying case and I definitely like the pan and tilt head. I would recommend this to a friend unless you have the budget for the really high end tripods.

Big, tough, good height.

Built tough and built rugged. I'm 6'2" and often have to crouch down to use tripods. Not this one, Its great for what I needed. Easy to set up and take down, not light but is pretty compact when all folded down. Not for hiking but great for a job site or for studio use. Got more than I paid for, great tripod.

Awesome value for the price

Great all around tripod for everyday use. Easy to set up, and adjust. Sturdy, lightweight and attractive. Functional. I use this for every day, long exposure shots. I can't find anything bad to say about it.

A versatile product with quality

I previously had three other tripods for my 5D-MarkII but none of them give me the movement in any direction as this one "Dolica AX68P104" does. The movement is firm with precisely fine incremental displacements. I can pan smoothly in any direction. It is fairly light-weighted but sturdy and strong enough. It is a great product. The price is a steal. I really like it. It would become an invincible product if it has 1) attached collapsible handle instead of detached screwed-in so that you do not have to take the handle out to put it back in the bag. 2) additional buble level on the pan head.
