Her energy comes through on this disc, and her solutions to photographing different personalities of children and their clients makes it worth the price alone. It communicates what it takes to make the personality of each child come alive and transfer to the images you capture. Excellent, inspiring, informative, and with substantial information on business aspects of running a professional photography business.

wow, after watching this video, i wanted to run out and start shooting to try out all her tips and tricks. tamara's video is full of her original style and innovative approach....and not just posing techniques...the footage of her actually shooting families on location is amazing. it really gives insight into why she is the gold standard of childrens portrait photography. this video inspired me both technically and creatively. i've wanted to do one of her workshops forever and this really satisfies (still want to do a workshop though). her digital workflow and business tips were also helpful...

This DVD is truly fantastic! Essentially your own private workshop - that you can attend again & again. Filled with practical advice and information, this DVD is a uniquely educational deep-dive into the craft of one of the world's most talented child photographers. Tamara's sweet & approachable personality shines through. The sections on shooting, workflow and engaging children are worth the price alone. Studio Director Lisa Walter's session on managing the business – where the rubber really meets the road - puts this DVD in a class by itself. Valuable content for child photographers of all levels and an economical alternative to attending a workshop. Great investment!

Tamara shines through in this DVD. Her true, real spirit is captured as she is in her element. You feel like you are sneaking into her sessions and watching her do her magic. She explains so many of her secrets and tips for getting those great, timeless portraits. I was inspired and energized by watching her. I would recommend this for any level of photographer!!

I've watched this DVD 3 times already, and I find something new to introduce to my business each time. I love that this guide touches equally on the topics of business and shooting. Lisa does a wonderful job walking us through the client experience and discussing the ins & outs of running a studio... And watching Tamara with the families is like being on a live shoot with her (with the benefits of being able to rewind & repeat as many times as you want!). This DVD is informative, jam packed with amazing content, and not surprisingly - very entertaining. This is the closest thing you'll find next to working as an intern in a successful studio!

Entertaining Video. I would recomend it to all my friends. The way the presenter works with children, is so helpful. Helped me out working through kids stiff expression to something more playful.

Watching this DVD is like attending an actual workshop with Tamara Lackey. After a year in which I couldn't manage the expense of an out of town workshop, I found this to be a great resource to help inspire me to infuse passion into my work. I have heard Tamara's workshops are extremely educational and inspiring and I now see why. She makes learning fun and her attitude is infectious!

This DVD is worth absolutely every penny. It saved me $1000s to get the same content from an in person workshop. She is thorough, exciting, full of energy, and really knows her stuff. She covers all the basics and then even more. I was glued to the TV the whole time. I would recommend this not only to the hobbyist, but to those looking to start their own studio or business or even those who just have an interest in photography. She knows her stuff inside and out(side).

A joy to watch, fun and inspiring. A ton of great info. Already watched twice, and I know I will go back and watch more. One of the more impressive videos I've seen for production value, which is refreshing.

Tamaras work is really great. Her subjects expressions are wonderful. She seems comfortable in describing what she does, but there's no way I have my [$] worth from this CD. I will be returning it.Find it used for $50 and you will get a good video for a fair price.
