We put these protective skins on all our computer/video games, our movies, and music cds. So far, they have not affected the performance and we no longer worry about scratches and dust. At the price, they save us a LOT of money on scratched movies, etc. I wish we had found them several ruined discs ago!

I go on road trips and take my music with me. My auto CD player scratches my CDs from time to time. Over the years a few have been destroyed. Some I had to replace 2 or 3 times. Finally I got a CD burner to make copies of my CD, but it's not the same as enjoying the original CD artwork. D-Skin is a much more elegant solution. Does not interfere with play. Make sure that the cover does not partially slip off the disk before you strrat playing it. ONE CAVEAT: For me it works trouble free in my auto CD-Player, but I haven't tried it in a CD changer and it slipped off in my friend's car, but I may have forgotten to make sure that it's seated properly on the CD...

My 3 year old and 15 year old are very hard on CDs and DVDs (one carelessly and one ignorantly). These protect our family purchases from them and help us to keep them around and use them for many more years.

We like these skins for the CDs and DVDs that our children use by themselves. No matter how closely you supervise, there's no way to catch a 3 year old who KNOWS how the tech works every time he tries to use it, and these provide a lot of peace of mind and durability that a disk lacks on it's own. These skins have played just fine in all of our household machines, although our vehicles don't like them. I find that even a couple of discs that already have scratches play a little better with the smooth skin on than without. Just be sure it's fitting tightly all the way around the disc before you insert it. The kids got used to htem in under one day and don't take them off or damage them, and they work great.
