The Eizo S2111W FlexScan 21.1" Class Color LCD Monitor features original EIZO technology which raises the contrast ratio up to 3000:1 and filters both moving and still images so they appear crisp and sharp. High brightness and overdrive circuit for a 8 ms midtone response time make this monitor ideal for video editing, watching DVDs, 3-D CAD and graphic design applications.

The wide screen format with its 16:10 aspect ratio offers more horizontal viewing space than conventional monitors. Two applications such as a text document and web browser can be viewed side-by-side, or graphics applications can be opened and work palettes displayed simultaneously without any overlap. In dark images, the ContrastEnhancer decreases luminance of the backlight to eliminate oversaturated whites and then raises gain levels to restore brightness, while in bright images it corrects the gamma levels by decreasing luminance in low grayscale tones. The OutlineEnhancer is a filter to sharpen images and offers seven levels of adjustment to give still and moving images a degree of sharpness that otherwise would not be visible.

Since filtering is performed by the monitor rather than by software on the PC side, the filtering is done in real time and therefore works on moving as well as still images. To enhance moving image playback capabilities, an overdrive circuit is included. Used with many LCD TVs, an overdrive circuit vastly improves the LCD panel's response time for changing between midtones or gray levels, which is necessary to display color images without blurring. ArcSwing 2 Stand EIZO-developed stand provides an arc-shaped range of movement so the screen can be positioned up high near eye level or lowered at an angle akin to reading a book for a more natural viewing posture.

USB 2.0 Hub is one upstream, two downstream hub facilitates high speed (480 MB/s) connections with other USB peripherals. The Brightness Stabilization Function Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper display of color - with EIZO patented technology. A drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects and automatically compensates for brightness changes caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage of time. The product name, serial number and total usage time can all be confirmed in the on-screen display menu. Panel can be removed from its stand and can be mounted on VESA-compliant arms or stands.
