The Elinchrom D-Lite IT 200Ws Flash (90-260VAC) redefines the possibilities of an economical, lightweight portable strobe: the D-Lite IT (Intelligent Trigger) 200Ws monolight is a multi-voltage flash that recognizes and uses any AC power source from 90-260VAC; the power is variable in 1/10 steps from 12 to 200Ws; it recycles at full power in less than 1 second; flash duration is between 1/800 and 1/2000 second; the slave photocell adjusts automatically to camera strobe pre-flashes; and the cooling fan is controlled by a microprocessor that automatically keeps the temperature in the safety zone, eliminating any worries about over-heating.
It also features a Skyport ECO transmitter for wireless triggering of your strobes (including 4 selectable frequency channels and 4 selectable independent groups), giving you a wide variety of options. This is an ideal flash for portraits, still life, product, architectural photography and more.

Light and reliable
Adding this mono light to my to my kit of 3 - 500BX Ri units, this gives me ability to have a lower power unit that I can use as a main or background light. So far this unit has proved to be an excellent choice. Maybe the only thing that is "buggy", is that the ready "beep" doesn't seem to have a off switch, like the BX Ri units offer. Otherwise, it is a great light weight strobe that works perfectly well and works well with the Skyport transmitter.
I use these D-Lites in my home studio. The studio is small so I don't need much power. These lights are easy to use and professional in appearence. The controls/settings are straight forward and the light is very consistant. Elinchrom provides a wide range of high performance accessories - reflectors, soft boxes, snoots, etc.. It's nice that they are available but not so nice that they are so expensive.
I use this D-Lite system (4 lights) in my small studio. They are sufficiently powerfull for my use - portraits - are very easy to use and provide a very consistant output. I purchased the first of these lights as a kit that was attractively priced. I was attracted to Elinchrome because of company reputation and because they provide an extensive line of expensive yet effective support equipment such as reflectors, snoots, soft boxes, etc.
