About Equinox UK Light Cannon

The Equinox UKLCKIT UK Light Cannon HID Video Light is a 10W HID light that can be used for video. The light produces three times more light per watt of battery power than standard xenon or halogen lamps. As a result, the light provides the underwater videographer with bright and constant light.

The 6000° K color temperature is the same color as the sun and will bring out the true natural colors of the underwater world. The light is powered by eight C cell batteries. A 12" flexi-arm that can easily attach to Equinox housings is included.

Equinox UK Light Cannon Features

  • 10W HID (high intensity discharge technology) lamp is 2 - 3 times brighter then halogen bulbs
  • High 6000° K color temperature gives the beam the same color as sunlight
  • Up to 1000 hour lamp life
  • Improved spectral quality allows light to travel farther through water
  • Powered by disposable alkaline batteries or rechargeable UK Ni-Cad Upgrade kit, can also use individual Ni-Cad or NiMH C-size batteries
  • Can be used in or out of water

Questions about this item:

Shopper  how the deep?
Andrew R  This unit is depth rated to 500" (152.4 m).
karl t  Does any one know how this light stacks up to the Ikelite Pro-V8 LED also - would like to mount to the Ikelite Autoflash AF35 Kit, Right Hand Flash Kit, any issues with this? I currently use a 10watt HID canister light for diving and don't have any experience with LED lights other than a couple of backup lights I use for wreck diving.
DAVID E  This is a great, high intensity led light, but needs to only be used as a focus beam. It is equipped with an additional shutoff circuit, that might prevent the video use. I don't think it would suffice for video, unless you paired two, together. Just my impression from using it. David Erznoznik
