I use this product to make macro photographs of freshwater snails; I use a 55mm lens on a reversal ring with a Pentax K1000. Also, I use that normal lens and some filter accessories to make photographs. If you proceed with confidence, you can do well with this product. As with many activities associated with swimming or underwater use, I would recommend that you make some practice swims with this equipment. Use patience and deliberation. Give yourself time to get used to using this equipment; that makes the learning more enjoyable. I found my ability to pack the camera in the housing increased dramatically after just a few days of working with the equipment. No need to rush. Equipment works as described. Also, I found it helpful to preset focus above water, and then swim down to make my photos. I go snorkeling in cold freshwater streams to make photos of plant and small animal life; the picture are part of an important nature and wildlife project I am working on for publication. I have also used it in waterfall plunge pools and in a large spring in the mouth of a cave. I feel this is a great, classic product that works very well. If you need an underwater housing that covers the basics well, this is it. It's sturdy; it works as described; after a few trials, I found that it was easy to use, and did not leak. This is a great product. It's a basic housing. I found it works well. I have confidence in this product.

Diving and snorkeling are one of the most enjoyable vacation experiences. With ewa-marine housings, you can take just about any 35mm camera underwater, either Manual or Auto Focus and capture truly world class photos. With our U-AXP model, you can even take your SLR down to a depth of 10m/30 ft. ewa-marine SLR cameras housings are flexible, allowing easy control of the camera, while an adapter system holds the camera's lens securely to the front optical glass port. "finger ports" allows you to access your camera's most important controls, such as program modes, shutter release mechanism, and tele/wide buttons.
Although, as with all ewa-marine housings, they are extremely light weight, the housings are very robust and durable. Special details, such as the hardened, optical front port and special adapter system which connects the port to the camera's lens, and, on different models, an integrated glove for easier lens operation, have been developed and constantly improved since 1970.
All this adds up to an economical and versatile product that will enable you to take those "once in a lifetime" photos that will be the envy of all those who see them.
