Meets my needs very well

I use these in my wedding photography business. They are great for elevating the flash (no red eyes) and when doing vertical format, the flash can easily be flipped to keep the flash in the proper orientation. I must caution you, however, to never try to adjust the pivot screw. I did once and the upper arm never flipped easily again. I had used the bracket for 3 years. Fortunately, these are not very expensive to replace. The upper shoe is one that uses a screw to tighten against you flash's mount. It would be better to have just a normal shoe since my flashes have their own method of tightening to the shoe.

Good product at a great price

I haven't tried the $200 versions, but this worked pretty well for a last minute wedding I was asked to shoot. Nice range of mounting holes and seemingly good construction for the price.

Great value for the money

I use this bracket to mount my speedlite so that I could put a remote trigger on the hotshoe. It serves that purpose very well and it's solid yet light weight enough. Defiantly worth the money

A very good value

I used this bracket at an event on my Canon 40D. I had the rig hanging off a dual strap system (upside-down, by the tripod mount) for six hours. The bracket held the flash in place. When I needed to rotate the camera, the bracket was easy to manipulate. I can not comment on longevity but for my needs this bracket worked as expected.

Not worth it!

I never use this because it isnt' stable. I am afraid that my flash will fall off!

Nice product for a low price.

I use this very frequently and although it doesn't have many options to place the flash, it is great for when I need it. It isn't too sturdy though so I don't really take it out of the house much but it can be very useful.

Flashpoint Quick Flip Flash Bracket

I use this product for general. This flashgun is flexible and has variety of possible of flashgun positions. My only complaint is the housing on the mounting screw is cheap and will strip easily.

A Lightweight - Not for Heavy DSLRs

This Flash Bracket was included within an accessory support package for the Canon 430EXII Flash Unit. It is not sufficiently robust for use with my Canon EOSD50, with an 18 - 200 mm lens, and a Canon Speetlite 580EXII. It perhaps may work well with much lighter weight cameras.

Nice addition with the package

Came as a package with the Canon 580 EXII I bought. Love having it. Really helps, particularly with portrait shooting.

This makes two!

Love the versitility. Wish it would tighten down a bit better.

Poor Quality Construction

The basic design concept is good. But lack of ability to adjust the arm almost makes this device useless. The tightening screw on the base to attach the unit to the camera broke after the second time I used it. The plastic wing used for tightening broke off with only a knurled top left to tighten which cannot be tightened enough to keep the bracket attached firmly to the camera. The top arm is tightened by a screw and nut that can be tightened only with a screw driver and wrench which makes it impossible to adjust in the field. Left loose when you turn the camera 90 degrees it will flop down and possibly damage the flash unit attached to it. The rest of the kit is great and I love the Metz flash unit but this bracket is nearly useless.
