I had been searching for a bracket that would keep my flash above my camera even when turning it to the side. I had read reviews that said it was a hassle flipping the camera to the side but I went ahead and tried it for myself. I am so glad I did. To me, it is not a hassle at all. It also extends my flash higher than any others I have had. I would definitely recommend this.

This unique bracket is designed to make digital flash photography natural both in the way the photographer handles the camera and in the resulting photographs.
First, this bracket enables the photographer to operate the lens with the left hand while tripping the shutter with the right hand, just as if there was no flash bracket on the camera. Additionally, the camera can be rotated from horizontal to vertical, yet the flash remains centered above the camera. Additionally, the flash may be elevated above the camera as much as 16" allowing shadows to fall behind the subject for a very natural look.
In addition, this bracket has a tilt feature that enables the flash to be aimed downward for close up shots eliminating possible cutoff of the image. This is truly a versatile bracket. Complete with a TTL cord enabling all dedicated functions and an electronic shutter release.
