this unit snapped and cracked open when i had Roto Light Neo 2 mounted. i saw it is ready to fall apart when the flash light stopped working as the connecting metal "shoes" disengaged. I have no problem to buy another one as backup when i use extension cord to hardwire connect the flash unit to be mounted off a bracket, ilo this built-in hotshoe slot

It generally does what it should. But the info is very messy. In the listing, the photo shoes the cord. Them, in the packaging list, it states that no corded is included. That's fine. However, after I got the product,I happened to look at the label on the box, it said: hot shoe adapter w/ cord. So what are they really selling?

Had modernized with digital slr's and had no way of employing flash with grand old Yashica Mat. This is just the ticket.

Great for those external strobes that don't have a PC connection.

So far so good. I use this with a cheap set of triggers so I can keep my flash on camera for TTL and trigger the off camera flash.

First time I mounted my speedlight on this product the two halves of the adapter snapped. Fortunately I caught my flash in mid air before it hit the ground. Upon inspection, the top and bottom pieces are just glued together with a thin layer of glue. No screws at all holding the two pieces together. Don't trust your flash units on this product or you will be repairing broken flash units.

I bought this to use my Canon Speedlite 420EX with a recently purchased Mamiya RB67. Works very well. It's quite reliable although I had a problem once where the PC cord did not make good contact with the socket on the lens. I give it four stars, because it is a bit weak (i.e. the plastic mount kind of bends in a metal hot shoe).

Overall I think this is a good product. The construction is not the best, but its solidly built. I have had a couple issues with the pc cord staying in the socket on my camera but it stays in the socket of a radio flash transmitter fine.

I use this with an Minolta 320X flash for wireless shooting. I find it to be more reliable than using the hot shoe on the bottom of the flash. I know I'm not going to have a misfiring problem this way. The reason I gave this four out of five is because I do not like the feel of it. It's rather light weight and feels kind of cheap. I'm afraid to have the flash pointed a certain way cause I feel like the flash will fall out. So far it hasn't but the fear keeps me worried.

It works. I needed one for an older camera w/ PC Connector - and it works. Very flimsy, however, I can tell it won't last unless you're very careful w/ it.

It does exactly what i need... having 2 flash units operated by the camera directly.
