cool

my first shoe mount, good price i hear, but slower than i expected. eats batteries or i use it a lot? lol very bright though, but adjustable fits perfectly with my nikon 3100, should work on canon, thus versatile for that matter easy to use, change, and the top is movable for different lighting

Great flash for the money

I requested this flash as a gift and got it. It does what I expected for a manual flash. If the batteries are fully charged, the recycling time is fast but slows as the batteries drain.

I have a Nikon D3000 and wanted a not very expensive flash. This strobe filled the bill. Downside is recycle time is advertised at 2.5 seconds. More like 8 to 10 seconds. Good enough for casual photos but not for more rapid fire. If you can afford to wait on recycle time, and can live with a quirky product.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Will this flash fit the new Canon SX50?
PAUL H  I don't know.
Shopper  Can I use this in EOS 1000D?
WAYNE M  This should be universal and work with any camera with a hotshoe or remote trigger with a hotshoe. Be aware that it is manual only, no power adjustment or TTL etc. Full power every shot resulting in slow recycling and fast battery draining. Also difficult to predict results when using modifiers. The small macro flash might be useful outdoors, but the main flash also goes off nuking your ceiling indoors spilling everywhere. My biggest complaint is that you can't fire the small flash without the big one going off. I haven't seen any published flash duration info but 1/200 is the maximum usable shutter speed in my experience. It's cheap and it works, but I've ordered a Vivitar 383 for greater control especially with modifiers. The RL1200 will be my secondary flash when needed
Shopper  Is this compatible to nikon D3000 ?
SARA T  Yes.
