Add a Little Class to Your Workspace
I bought several of these mouserugs, for myself and for christmas gifts, after seeing one at a local store and liking the quality but not necessarily the design of the local option. So after a quick web search, I found the manufacturer's site for more info, and ended up buying them from Adorama (best price incl. shipping, good selection, and [...]). I was a little aprehensive that colors would not match since I saw some variation on various websites that also sold them, but that was not a problem--colors very closely matched the photos at Adorama site--at least for the ones I bought. I have both a Mac Mightymouse and a Microsoft Laser-type mouse and both seem to work flawlessly on the mousing surface. When I first got the mousepads, I noticed perhaps a little more resistance to movement than my old mousepad but I quickly adapted. I use mostly for web browsing, word, excel, general office stuff. For really mouse intensive work such as CAD, I might prefer less resistnce(?) If I found that to be a problem, I would use a different pad for CAD. I Also put one on my dresser to empty my pockets on at night, and I got a couple of the smaller matching coaster pads to set my drink on on my desk.The photos don't show it but the "rug" surface is attached to a 1/8 inch thick black rubber pad and the fringe is real, not printed on the pad, and is not part of the mousing surface. The manufacturer's website has cleaning instuctions and shows before and after pics that are pretty amazing. The only iffy part is cleaning the fringe. I would recommend using the mousepad in landscape orientation to minimize soiling the fringe. If or when the fringe gets too ugly to clean I will probably trim it off/shorter or just get a new mouserug! So many cool ones, so few computers in my house! Adorama has a great selection, but there are other styles available too with a little looking.BTW, everyone who got a mouserug for Christmas loved them and thought they were really cool. My mom might even appropriate my Dad's for the living room rug in her Dollhouse!
