The analog audio output from my KVM switch was horrible. Not too surprising since it was meant to drive a circuit, not a headphone. So I plugged in this little gem into a USB port on my PC and the sound quality improved dramatically. No driver, no power cord, no fuss. Just plug and play in both Windows 10 and 7. Although I wouldn't call its sound quality "audiophile", it is still an improvement over the built-in Realtek ALC898 in my PC. Despite the fact that my headphone/earbuds are at the limits of this little USB DAC, it had no problem driving my Sennheiser HD 600 (300 ohms) and Audio-Technica ATH-CKR10 (12 ohm). The only downside is that it may or may not work with smartphones due to high current draw (gets its power from OTG/USB).
