Questions & Answers

Shopper : Does this come with a Fujifilm or Adorama warranty? And does Fujifilm provide repair service for this camera?ANDREW R : The warranty is supplied by the manufacturer.
David S : Would you suggest buying a side grip for this camera? I'm left handed.DAVID G : I am also left handed but I did not feel that I needed a side grip. As I'm sure you know, one has to accommodate to a right handed world!GARY G : If you mean you have to press the shutter release with your left hand, I suppose a grip could be useful. It's such a compact camera to carry around that I wouldn't add anything to it unless I absolutely had to.
catherine g : Can you get a digital back for this camera?DAVID G : I doubt very much that there is a digital back for the Fuji GF670. So far s I know it is strictly a 120 film camera.PETER L : Not that I'm aware of.CHRISTOPHER C : No.CUI QIONG Z : I haven't found one yet.GARY G : No.

Fantastic Camera!

I've owned this camera for 2-3 years now...and I don't regret purchasing it for one second! Being a folding rangefinder makes it ideal for travel, since it takes up little space in comparison to many other medium format cameras. The lens and viewfinder or top notch in my book! Buy this camera...you will never look back!

Not as good as I expected

Nice bellows function, good overall workmanship, but the human factors aspect of taking photos was hard. Focus and aperature controls are hard to use, and it is difficult to operate the aperture and focus while holding the camera up for shooting. Focusing at close distances hard, especially with camera rotated for 6X7 vertical orientation. Overall disappointed, and think camera is overpriced for performance delivered.

Great camera--Mamiya 7 toss-up

Great camera with a first-rate lens. I bought it to see if It could top my Mamiya 7. In the end, it was a toss-up, so I kept the Mamiya and sold the Fuji. It's viewfinder is much better than the Mamiya: bright, clear, and uncluttered. But like the Mamiya 7, it suffers from the ridiculous trait of a finder that only shows 80-85% at infinity (!). And oddly enough, the shutter is too quiet; it's often hard to tell if you've actually taken the picture. Very compact when folded--ideal for travel or non-tripod use, although the ergonomics aren't as good as the Mamiya. The new 670W looks even better in terms of design, but ssoooo expensive. But I love Fuji for sticking with the medium-format analog market.

A Real Winner

Yes, this is an expensive film camera. But if you're interested in shooting medium-format film and don't mind being confined to a normal (80mm) lens the Fujifilm GF670 is a bargain (and $500 less expensive than the same camera branded by Voigtlander as the Bessa III). Think of it like a foldable Rolleiflex! The rangefinder viewfinder on this camera is remarkably bright and easy to focus. The camera is also quite light, despite its bulky appearance. The lens is extremely sharp and renders color very well. The one caveat is the relatively slow maximum shutter speed of 1/500. In the era of film this would be average for a medium-format lens. But in today's digital era it's a snail. Not a problem if you plan for it. All considered, this is a wonderful easily-portable medium format camera.
