Simple, Inexpensive, Effective
I use this product (on my Nikon 70-300 VR) to step up from its 67mm thread size to 72mm filter size, so that I can standardize all my filters at 72mm.
It's small and inexpensive, but of fine quality. Won't work as a hammer, nor could I recommend using it as a carabiner when rappelling. But as a step-up adapter, it works just fine.

Useful product for the price
I've really good set of lens filters from my pervious lens. Due to the purchase of this step-up ring, I'm able to use my 72mm filters with 67 mm lens Nikkor 70-300mm. Saved me a lot of money. It mounts good and fits perfect.
My only problem is once I use 72mm filters with this ring, not able to use the lenshood.
Otherwise, it is great product.
