Is there a spacer between the glass and the picture? If there is not, what keeps the picture from sticking to the glass and in the end, being ruined?
The picture sits against the glass.
There is not a spacer between and no matting was included with the one I bought. It's been awhile since I put the picture in so if it came with one (doubtful) I have forgotten.
However, there is no 'stickiness' to the glass and my picture is not ruined by touching it. I framed an art print on a heavy stock paper--it is not a photo or on photo paper.
I do believe the other versions of this do have mats included--using the same 16 x 20 frame but matted for a smaller picture.
The frame I bought came with a mat. That goes in between the glass and photo and is just thick enought to keep the photo from touching the glass. It's a nice frame.
It's the mat that keeps the two separated.
you can purchase them with or without matts. You must look at the item carefully on the website to discern which you are buying.
This picture of the product looks like there is mat. My product did not have a mat or a spacer. So yes, it is glass, photo, glass. I do not know if it wrecked the picture because I have not reopened it. I hope not.
