Adorama likes us to review every item, presumably to help the customer make informed decisions. But how much can I say about a speed ring other than that it works? That it does, and I should say the price point of this ring is amazing. Though I get way more excited about my Flashpoint lights that it's designed for, I do have to say that the low price of the rings influenced my decision to go with the Flashpoint line in my entire lighting setup, which I'm extremely happy with.

I would recommend this item for the beginner/hobbyist. The fit and finish is not as good as a more expensive item and this is noticeable when rotating the softbox. The smoothness is lacking due to the casting variations. It fits the Flashpoint well and is stable. The price justifies the purchase of this mount.

Fits well with flashpoint light, a little wobble but not a deal breaker. Currently using it with a softbox that was meant for an led light.

This is a great product for which I was extremely happy purchasing. Made of metal the speed ring is sturdy. It has a screw type thingy that when tightened does not allow the softbox's to wobble and rotate. My only wish was that it was somewhat universal to fit the parapop light modifiers. Other than that, this is a great product. Thanks Adorama for a great product. Extremely satisfied.

This speed ring is nessary to make the Glow soft box for my Flashpoint 620M monolights work. It is what attaches the Glow soft box kit to the light itself. Without it, there would be no way to attach the soft box to the light. It seems to work well for this function and I like that you can loosen a set screw and rotate the soft box on the light. I'm just amazed that it did not come with the soft box kit.

I purchased this to be able to fit my current softboxes to a newly acquired moonlight. One thing you should take into consideration is the diameter. Compared to a bowens speedring, this is about 3/4" wider in diameter. This makes softbox rods a much tighter fit. It works on a couple of the boxes but on others looks like trying to get it to fit will either break the rods or break the softbox at the seams. 4 stars because in itself it is a good product but would recommend purchasing the product/speedring suited for the moonlight.

I have two of these speed rings, each of which I use with DG600 Flashpoint monolights to support a 24x36" Glow soft box and a 12x18" Glow soft box. Works like a charm. I did use some WD-40 on each of them right out of the box to make them spin more easily, although I don't know that it was necessary.

The only draw back about this product is that it had to be purchased separately form the softbox. It's like a gotcha moment. However,since you cannot assemble the softbox with out this ring. It leaves you no choice but to purchase the product. once in hand everything comes together nicely and it actually works great. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to use a softbox with the Flashpoint 11 studio light system.

I needed an extra speedring for a softbox I bought from a different manufacturer, to use on my 320M's - The speedring fit the new softbox perfectly. Not much more to say, the quality is good, the price was decent, especially as I didn't want to buy a new softbox with the ring included.
