• Our most popular kits configurations are the ones with two heads. These appeal to photographers buying studio lighting for the first time as well as photographers looking for exceptional value for the money. A typical two-head kit will include two monolight flash units with two light stands. To help control the light, there are two 40" white umbrellas included. In our experience, this creates a very easy-to-use and effective two-light setup. Using umbrellas is perfect for portraiture and many still-life applications.-

For the price, this kit has exceeded my expectations. The monolights give ample light for portraiture. The durable construction gives me confidence that regardless of where I use it, it will hold up well.

Great Kit!

This is a great kit. Everything is nice and durable. This is great for on location work as it can be powered with a battery pack. I use it in my home for portrait sessions.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  can you take off the umbrella and replace it with a soft box??
BRIAN S  The umbrellas fit into a slot at the top of the stand, and are easily removed. I was looking into softboxes myself to improve the catchlight in close-ups, and I think they mount directly to the outside of the lights by removing the reflectors and using an attachment ring that fits where the reflectors mount. Maybe you could check with Adorama to see which softboxes they recommend for these. I know getting info from them is difficult, but it might be worth speaking to the grumpy sales type to find the best match. I really like the set, but I think softboxes are the way to go for close-ups and tight portraits.
Cheryl W  Does this set come with the bulbs and power cords?
KEVIN Z  Yep, they're strobes, they do come with the flashtubes. And the power cords are quite long. even a cord for the camera sync. and sync between flashpoints.
rob w  Does the black part of the umbrellas come off, to use as shoot through?
DIANA D  Yes it does
