The only caveat to this review is that I've only had it a very short time, so no comments on durability. As I normally do, I'm comparing this item to a similar item, in this case the comparison is against the Flashpoint CS600. First off both cases have a very similar footprint. However the CS200 has a great deal more space internally. Of course you lose the hard shell armoring that the CS600 has but the CS200 is nicely padded. Mine came with one long divider and four short dividers and they work great. This case accommodates the Flashpoint 2420A monolight with room to spare. According to pure specifications it should have been a tight fit, but it's not, there's plenty of space. So visualize the bag laying longways down, like if you opened a briefcase on a table with the top flap open. I have two extension cords at the back/bottom, a 2420A on top of them with a small bag of clothespins and magic arm fittings, the long divider is above all that. Then an 1820A monolight and two power cords on top of the long divider, the extra space above the 1820A is divided in half. On the left side of that extra space I have a couple rolls of duct tape and a couple generic fabric panels and a light meter, on the right side I have a Gellyroll, two snoots and a bag that contains eight Phottix Stratos II triggers. I use the extra dividers as securing flaps just by attaching them over the gear to keep it all from moving around. It works great. That ain't bad and there's no way that the CS600 could even come close to that capacity - and I don't feel that it's overpacked at all. I think someone else mentioned that if you are flying your gear around the country - this bag is not going to work, but if you doing location work and you're handling the gear then you simply can't beat this bag. Was looking for a case to carry 8 alienbee/einstein monolights. I was looking at three premium options: the pelican 1650 with padded dividers (around $300 shipped), the thinktank logistics manager ($500 shipped) and the lightware 1629 multiformat case (500 shipped). I decided to get this case because it is a lighter case (only about 6 lbs) and it was affordable. I'm happy I did because loaded with 8 monolights and power cords this case weighs in at around 38lbs. Sometimes I have to carry stuff up stairs so weight is very important to me. The downside of course is build quality. The felt lining inside is not glued down so the velcro dividers. It is true what another reviewer wrote: "My only complaint about it is that fact that the inner lining isn't glued to the backing. This leaves a loose and sloppy amount of lining to deal with every time I want to take the dish in or out. It's also a non-woven material that is "felt" like and things snag to it easily." The case is great for taking with you locally but is not overly padded or reinforced so would be a bad choice for checked luggage. Overall, this was the perfect bag for me since it fits all my lights without adding extra weight. I can carry the lights and power cords in one bag!

The perfect size light duty case to move professional lighting equipment around town. With additional dividers, you could certainly put four smaller monoblocs with accessories in here, and at least three of the bigger units. Someone looking for a 'travel-the-globe' bullet-proof case won't be happy with this, but for a quarter of the cost of those soft cases, this is dead on target for my uses. At this price point, I could replace it every few years if it doesn't hold up. It's the size that makes it so wonderful. Perfect for those that like those 'suitcase' style cases. Could even be a few inches thinner and still be OK.

I bought 2 of these as an alternative to $ Dynalite and Tenba cases. They are EXCELLENT!...I've never looked back

Incredible case I have 3 other Flashpoint cases for my monolights. I have even used the cases for elevation and I am no lightweight. Have traveled the globe with these cases. Best value and construction.
