Simple design. Turning the on and off switch requires effort. A pleasure to use except for the switch. Could use a bit more low light power control. Dim isn't dim enough for my uses. Definitely bright.

I purchased this mainly to provide a little bit more ambient light for indoor still photography and macro. The light is bright and doesn't disappoint. Dimmer works well and has good range. Color filter and diffuser panels clip on easily. The only cons would be the hot shoe adapter is a little too stiff and the USB charger is super cheap. Very good value overall though. I do wish it came with a small bag to protect it off camera.

It is a really good one for video and photo, it is light weight, very easy to carry and use.

so far I really am impressed with this little light. I delivers a lot of light in a small package. Now we need some modifiers. Snoot and softbox for starters.

I was looking for a compact, autonome LED light. This is exactly what I needed. I was surprised by the quality of the product when I opened the box and did order a second one. This light is perfect for quick video interview as a main light or as a back light for a more complexe setting.

Everything is good, haven't got a chance to use it yet but will do it soon. Very compact and came as mentioned.

Did not expect it to be this bright And compact like a cellphone. Started using this for my Nikon dslr which can also take videos, does a splendid fill light. I may need to get another one to balance it out on each side.

I received my unit a couple of days ago, and it is all that was expected and more. Output on high is higher than the specs say, which makes sense when compared to competitive units. I'm learning how to use it for still photography, not video. I'm using a Joby gorillapod to attached it to my tripod. I do recommend this product.

I purchased the Flashpoint Reporter Super Compact 150 LED for the occasional interview but have found I add it to both video and photography projects. I just used it today as a hair light on a photoshoot. The color balance worked out great and it does come with defusion and CTgel cover to hepl match light temp.

It's a compact, well-made, adjustable (360-degree). It just doesn't give out enough light as compared to a regular compact flash (I compared it to my Sony Hvl-f200m flash). I'll keep it for backup as well as use it with a tripod as a lantern for camping :)

This PERFECT for my needs. I plan to use it a lot with a DJI OSMO Steadycam. It is so light and the rechargeable Lithium Batteries are awesome. It is very thin as well and really puts out super lighting. My favorite so far for sure!

I have 3 of the old 360 flashpoint units and just got this the other day!!!! Love love love! It is a great price considering profoto and their heads and prices of the units! This is my 4th light now and I use them weekly! I shoot for about 8 universities in S Calif and have the need for easy setups and quick turnover of recycle! Fantastic price!!!! Will probably be buying another!

Was looking for a small bright led light for on camera use. I see no difference in the light panels brand. This light is perfect for tight spaces like cars and airplane cockpits. I would recommend this led light.

I use a selection of 12 Nikon's. This little jewel is a blessing for shooting rapid shots from the 7000, 3200, 810, D60 and D50 and other models with a variety of lenses. Thanks

Very good option for a compact, steady light source. Gives a much brighter light than expected and is dimmable to 10% from maximum. Can be used on or off camera, not dependent on a synch cord.

Good light for interviews and to add decent accent 10-15 feet away. Expected to be able to dim more than it does, but acceptable although it only dims to about 50%. Battery life seems outstanding - an hour on low and still at 75%.

Perfect to throw in your bag for a little fill light. Small, bright and lasts quite a while on a full charge. Love not having to deal with batteries that need replacing.

Just received. Used for photos (not video) for some close up photos as the main light and as a secondary fill in a few others, both on and off camera. Camera mounting is OK and the light is bright and can be positioned easily for close up work. The dimming function works smoothly and the controls over-all are nicely arranged. It is not bright enough to replace on camera or dedicated flash units for medium range shooting. The included bracket for off hot-shoe or completely off-camera mounting (e.g. tripod) is very nice. Plenty strong for support of the unit and adaptable to many different situations. I think this light will be useful in a variety of studio and field applications for still (mostly nature close up) photography....my intended use.

I use this product on my video for about 4 to 6 feet coverage. It's sufficient enough. And it's so light that you're almost carrying nothing at all. I love this product and will buy it again if i need additional brightness.

The light is probably fine, but the bracket is poorly thought out. The screws to fasten it to the camera and to the light run out of thread before becoming snug. The bracket can either extend in front of the camer, on top; or to one side from underneath. In the latter case the only way to get it properly fastened to the camera is for the light to be below the bracket, not on top. I was able to finally get one of the screws out of the slot and reversed so that the light could be above the bracket. I struggled to figure the thing out for a long time and consulted an engineer friend - who was no more successful. The directions are so minimal as to be useless. I cannot tell if the light itself is of any use because I've used it only once as a result of these problems.

I use three of these in a portable large format (8x10 camera)portrait light kit. These light have several advantages for me: They are small, powerful and rechargeable, hence I can use them when traveling without worrying about AC voltages (Europe)or have to carry lots of rechargeable batteries. Also, they are easy to mount on stands or clamps and I use simple squares of black cardboard as flags/barndoors. The light output is remarkably efficient. Plenty of power to work with the fastest film stock I use in my portraits (100ASA). The ratio between the three lights I use is easily achievable as they have a built in dimmer. These panels also come with multi-voltage charger and a bunch of mounting hardware. These lights won't light up a building but if you do portraiture you'll find them invaluable, both as main lights or as accent/fill lights in addition to the rest of you kit. This is what I call GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY !!

I bought 2 of these as an alternative to the off-camera flashes I normally shoot with. I really like the solid, compact feel of them. They are really rather bright for their size. The accessorie swivel-tilt mount is well thought out and robust. The snap on diffuser does very little to soften the light, but I use it to hold gels that I have cut to fit. In this role, it works great. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars, is after using at full power for a short period of time,(10-15 min), the units get very hot. I'm going to keep an eye on them in the future and limit the time they are on.

This light is not exclusive to video applications. I find it extremely useful in macro photography as soft fill light. The problem with ring speedlight is sometimes the light is too direct and too harsh. This provides just enough fill to open up shadow areas. This should not be used as a main light but for quick and simple setup and not wanting to attach and set ring light it's just about the perfect device.

One of the brightest advances in technology is the advent of the light-emitting diode (LED), a two-lead semiconductor light source. When an appropriate voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron 'holes' within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and the color of the light is determined by the specific energy band gap of the semiconductor.
Impressed yet? No?
LEDs are small, durable and need little power, so they are used in LED strobe lights or continuous camera lights without detrimental heat output, and operate at a safe, low voltage, instead of the 250+ volts commonly found in Xenon strobe tube-based lighting. This is especially useful in lighting for videographers, where space is at a premium and bulky voltage-raising circuitry is undesirable.
Each LED gem glows with exceptional brilliance of light and human genius that old Thomas Edison would have surely appreciated.
