The Flashpoint 11.5' Aluminum 5 Section Super Light Stand with Boom Extension and Reflector Holder Arm is a real find at a great price. Although I just received the item and have not had an opportunity to use it yet, I have "fiddled" with it, and I can tell that it is well suited for the application. The stand comes complete with a carrying case and a counterweight bag. The only thing not included is sand for the counterweight!

Love its portability, ease of use, and multiple setups. One of the most used stands in my kit. Works for photo, video, and audio.

Looks good and for a decent price. Unfortunately it has some egregious BIO (built on obsolescence) such as torquing screws directly into plastic. I wonder how many setups this unit is good for... 10? 20? Hopefully there are replacement parts that can be shipped to replace the BIO once it fails. I can't imagine it will last much more than a year.

Don't expect too much from this stand. I bought it for the boom option but it's not as heavy-duty/robust as my other flashpoint stand. I was hoping it would be a little more solid but it does the job. It comes with a little bag that you put 4 water bottles in as a counter weight. I don't know how else to make it work but it becomes another thing to carry around.

I really like my stand. It arrived with a minor issue that required a little tightening of some brackets. But overall, a great buy. I'll probably purchase another one down the road.

I like it. One of the reflector holders came broken on mine, but I was unlikely to use those. I plan on using this to hold a speedlight overhead.

Easy to set up. Light stand is light and seems flimsy. Boom not easy to tighten. Needs an upgraded knob. Used a Glow Arc strip with StellaPro Reflex S lights. It works with additional support for the safety of my clients. Good for the price. Will spend more and something sturdier

Needed some reach beyond my C-Stands for rim/hair lighting, so purchased this on sale for $59.95 not expecting too much. Here are the results at full extension, weighing down the legs and counter weighting the boom using my own sandbags (because the counter weight bag that comes with it seems like it was designed to hold 4 X 16 oz water bottles and I prefered using more counterweight for safety): 1) 600w DC monolight with a 32" Octabox resulted in way too much bend for my liking, 2) the bend from my 400w DC monolight and Octa was almost/somewhat acceptable, but scared me 3) The Flashpoint Pro Air 13' HD Boom stand performed extremely safe and acceptable with an eVOLV 200/ Godox AD200 using an S Type bracket and same 32" Octa. I really enjoy this stand for the money, and using it indoors with lighter monolights/modifiers. Never had an issue with tightening (though I've used a rubber mallet on some other light stands). Oh, I also use this stand to hang a GVM P80PRO 80W constant LED with a gridded, small Glow 10x24" softbox hair light at full extension for video with a small amount of safe/acceptable bend in the boom arm.

The Flashpoint Pro Air Cushoned Heavy Duty Boom Light Stand (13') works well with a small LED light attached to create a glowing hair-outline for an interview subject. It also improves the subjects separation from the background. It's best to use counterweights such as sand in the provided bags, or anything that can hang from the provided carabiner. Ensure one leg is placed directly beneath and parallel to the boom arm, and place sand bags or heavy objects on the other base legs to help prevent tipping. With a perfect counter-weight attached to the boom, you shouldn't have to put much on the legs, but it's always a good idea for safety on you set. Use barn doors or black Rosco Cinefoil with gaffers tape to focus your light on the subject. If done right, this stand is great for composing professionally lit interviews!

Not for very heavy items but otherwise a great stand.

Don't buy this all the brackets are plastic and don't hold the boom arm tightly enough

This isn't a great product for larger lights. Maybe people with smaller LEDs can use them, but for my joker 200 it wasn't the right fit.

I used this stand first day I got it, I could say is a pretty good buy for the price, and it really extends all the way to the subject been filmed, now I can get the microphone much closer, great acquisition for my hobby

Not reliable with any kind of heavy objects. I don?t trust this one with my lights, I use it for reflectors and flags.

This is a fantastic all around stand. I mainly use it with an eVOLV 200 Pro and don't even need to counterweight it to make it feel sturdy. Portable and flexible.

works just as I wanted it to!! Love the way the boom arm actually goes into the stand!! Tried different size and weight lights with modifiers and not one problem so far! Also like the fact that it has the reflector clips!

Extremely convenient way to place a kicker as long as it?s light enough. This stand enables me save a c-stand for other uses. This is the perfect t solution for a 3-point setup with a small, light hair light.

I've had this lightstand for more than 5 years and l've had no problem mounting heavy lights. When using the boom arm, make sure you attach your lights and modifiers and then move the arm back and forth until the weight is balanced. This eliminates any movement.

being able to articulate is awesome, however you really need a counterweight if you use it in this configuration as the knobs don't hold it perfectly secure. This stand offers a lot of flexibility in the field.

This stand holds the weight of the 600 light very well even on uneven surfaces.

Excellent stand for the price

This stand/boom performs exactly as described. It's extremely sturdy and portable. I'm constantly shooting on location, and I work out of two different studios, so portability is critical to me. I use a JTL J160 as a hairlight/rimlight. This is a light strobe head, but I put somewhat heavy modifiers on it (normally a 4x1 strip box with a somewhat heavy universal speed ring). It solidly supports the setup without any issues. Some negative reviews talked about difficulty clamping it down ha...
