I am just getting into taking outdoor senior portraits. I had a photographer tell me to get a reflector, although, hers was like a 3 ft x 4 ft size. This seems like a reasonable price. Can this easily be placed into ones camera bag? How well does it work and any tips in using it?
The Adorama reflector works well and is a great price. Although it takes some getting use to, the reflector folds up by twisting and collapsing it at the same time for easy storage in a supplied pouch/bag, which can easily fit in a camera bag.
It works by just filling in the shadow area by reflecting available light. You can use a tripod with a clamp to hold it, position it with one hand while shooting with another, or just propping it up depending on the location.
I purchased one because I prefer available light close up portaits, and this was a great way of filling in the shadow areas without using a flash.
