Questions & Answers

James J : Will it work with CanonT2i?WILLIAM M : I can't say, but it works well with Canon 5D MkIII, with a range of at least 75 ft indoors. My only complaint is that it fits a little snug in the remote socket. When removing the cable from the socket, I have to pull so hard that I worry the cable might break. It has worked for several sessions now, and the Canon wired remote still fits and works well. You'll need to check to see if the same remote fits the 5D3 and T2i. MICHAEL K : I use this unit with my Canon 7D without fail. It is an inexpensive alternate to larger, more sophisticated units.RICHARD B C : I don't have any experience with the T2i so I'm not sure. Wish I could help. I'd do some research on the net with comparisons and Canon forums to see about this.
Edmund M : So, I can mount a flash on my camera and then a separate one off camera on a tripod and fire two flashes at once?? And..this will work with studio strobes??JOSEPH W : Edmnd, The receiver has a hotshoe mount. I believ this will work as you expect it to The only caveat is that the instructions are rather poorly written. I do not have experience using this unit for studio lighting.
shaarno.5 s : does this fit the Canon Rebel XTI?John W : Why aren't you looking at the RC-1?John W : This unit will either fire the camera remotely by the operator, or fire the flash remotely from the camera. I can't answer your question immediately, as I use a 50D but I do have access to a Rebel XTI if you're desperate for an answer. You have to check what sync sockets are available on the camera. My guess is that you should be able to easily mount the transmitter on the camera hot shoe and fire a remote flash with the receiver. Exposure will depend on flash settings. If the XTI uses the same remote cable as the 40-50-60D models you should be able to fire the camera remotely. Have you tried contacting Flashpoint?DEWAYNE L : I not completely sure but if you check your camera for a sync port , it should work if it has one. I think it does.ROBIN S : I'm not sure if it fits the canon XTI. I use with my Canon 7D and it work well, for both the camera shutter and my canon 430EXII flash.Every photographer should have a remote control Camera/flash trigger.ROBERT T : I really wish I could help you on this, but I returned the one I bought before I tried it on my Cannon 50D. I realized that I didn't need it with the portrait lighting that I purchased.RICHARD B C : I really don't know. I wish I could help. I suggest you contact the manufacturer to get a straight answer.SUNSHINE VALLEY I : Yes

Nice Product

Really nice kit. Comes with AAA batteries and a great set of cables. Works well with speed lights and studio strobes. No problems encountered. Make sure your camera model matches those listed in product description (works on the 30D but not 40D). And with free shipping it is a great deal. Thanks Adorama.

Cheap Alternative For Remote Control

The instructions were very poor or should I say poorly translated. How hard can it be to get someone to read and correct translations? Apart from that it was not too difficult to work out what to do provided you know what the device is supposed to do! Apart from that it seems very good for the price.

Happy!

Con: A lot of photography equipment seems to be flimsy, and I had to rig a rubber band on the receiver to prevent the two halves of the housing from coming apart. Crazy-glue finally solved that one. Pro: I had it working within five minutes of unpacking it. It's so simple to use you don't need to read the instructions. Pro: I haven't checked its maximum range, but I regularly use it at up to 50 - 60 feet. Pro: It's very reliable. Fires the flash or the camera every time. I've had it nearly a year, original Tx battery still OK. Pro: The cable kit is extensive and well thought out.

Didn't Work for Me

Tied two copies. Neither worked on my 7D. What else can I say?

Cheap and Functional

Usually I don't buy cheap products. I've always been a name-brand type of person. But I decided to give Adorama a try. I'm glad I did. I've only tested it so far on my Christmas tree but the results have been great. My only complaint, and I'm not even sure that the problem is from the remote flash, is that the flash turns itself off sooner then it normally does mounted on the camera, but I have custom functions for that, so its not even a big deal. Bottom line: Get this if you're just starting out, or can't justify spending stupid amounts of money on things that do the same thing.

Feels like a toy

The housing feels very cheap. Almost like a plastic toy. However, it did it's job without any issues. I guess you cannot expect top gear at this price point. This is very much for the budget minded enthusiast.

The Adorama 3-in-1 Wireless Remote Control is a very versatile wireless trigger that can be used to release the shutter of a digital camera up to 300 feet away or fire a studio flash such as a monolite or an accessory camera flash up to 100 feet away.

It is powered by 1, 23A battery (included) for the transmitter and 2 "AAA" batteries (not included) in the receiver and features 16 channels to choose from to help avoid unwanted triggering by other photographers in the same studio or shoot.

The receiver can mount to an accessory shoe, a light stand or a tripod and features a hot shoe to accept speedlites. If the speedlite does not have a hot shoe, a PC cord is included. And, of course, there is a 3.5mm cord and a 1/4" plug adapter included for speedlites.

The transmitter has a hot shoe to make mounting on the camera easy and secure. In camera mode, the transmitter has a two position switch. The first position activates the auto focus and exposure.

The second position triggers the shutter. In flash mode, the first position fires the flash if manual triggeris desired. Otherwise, the flash is triggered in sync with the shutter of the camera when the transmitter is connected to the camera.

Both the transmitter and the receiver have shoes. And, ofcourse, the necessary connecting cord for the camera is included.
